My son transferred to P3 of SJPS from a private primary school in last year. Even though there are many smart kids in SJPS, the standard of SJPS students on average is not better than the private school my son studied before.

SLSPS is a good school. If your son performs well there, he shouldn't have any problem in SJPS. Besides, the chance of a SJPS student can get an offer from SJC is much higher than the chance of a SLSPS student can get an offer from QC / KC.
