Re: 蘋果日報:7000字信狂數新小拔罪狀
As yet, I have not seen the article. I had tried to refrain from making any comment afraid that I may be too subjective.
However, by looking at the responses in this thread and the headers of the complaint letter, I found the complaints are very trivial and even petty.
When we send our sons to DBSPD, we have to look at the vision of the school such that we concur and support it. Bear in mind also that this is a very new school, you cannot expect everything is on the right track since the school has still not gelled together.
Instead of nitpicking minor things like those in the complaint letter, shouldn't we be more critical on whether the school is on the right track towards the vision that the school has laid out?
It's always easy to pick up shortcomings and be critical since no one is perfect. One should look at the global picture - lay down the good virtues and the areas that needs to be improved and judge it holistically before we can comfortably make a sensible comment.
In a test, one don't need to score a 100, right? 70-90 is just fine since we are only human and always allow for some mistakes made. Is it the same in this case when criticising the school?
As mentioned by many forum friends, even with these so-called flaws, it is still better than most of the other schools around town and if one does not agree, he/she could choose to have his son to drop out.
In my opinion, these kind of parents will hinder the development of the school and for the benefits of them and the school (incl. other parents in support of the school), they should part ways. No one has stuck a gun in these grumpy parents' heads anyways!
