AISHK has pretty good IB score (36 last year) so continue to apply for it if you have Auzzie passport. Remember to apply early!! (as in within the first two weeks of Jan)

hi jolalee,  i have applied in late Jan 2014 for AISHK. i will wait for their call in April 2015 as they told me so. For KCIS, i didnt end up sending the application cuz my friend's mum who taught there advised it may not be a very good choice,  esp i need to travel all the way from Kln side.  i will apply ISF next year. though.
if i cannot get into any IS, i will stay in local IB school (i hope he can),  this can also help him if he likes studying abroad.

thx for your help!  keep in touch!

I applied KCIS primary 2 years ago, when my girl was just K3.
It turned to be late, so we went to a DSS school after lots of tough interviews.
A few days ago, they called us for P3 interview. It's one-to-one interview and it seems quite simple (from my girl). Just chat in English, math (3+6), and very simple writing. She got the offer in the same afternoon.
We'll move to KCIS. At least it's the first step from local to IS.But I heard kids moving from KCIS to local too.
My friend's kids are P6 already. He said lots go to ESF or even CIS for secondary.
I guess it's all personal choices.

From KLN side to KCIS, there's nanny bus. TKO only need to get to but around 7:55am.

You're welcomed. If you are looking for IS on the kowloon side, then AISHK would be one of the best. For Chinese you can always get external help. You may also look into CAIS & ICS if you do not mind Christianity being taught in school. Those two are good schools as well this side of the harbour.

If you are looking at ISF, then you may as well consider CIS & SIS, if Chinese is a main concern for you. All the best to you in school hunting!
