Am actually a bit surprised and thought it was a typo.  High scores come as a trade-off for other things though, everyone only has 24 hours a day.

ESF's results include those two PIS schools.  I am actually not surprised.  It is their first year.  Scores tend to improve the first couple years.

Good info.  But we should probably not take score as the only yardstick for schools and education.  Even LPC does not have a very high >40 percentage but we all know LPC is an excellent school and a high ivy rate.

DC result is disappointing.  Want to know RC.

But I think the overall ESF score is exclusive of DC and RC.  Can someone confirm?

I haven't been able to find RC's results yet.  But it's past results are slightly above DC but not on par with other ESF schools.  RC's difference, however, can be partially explained by the % of Bilingual Diploma.

從前也是這樣想法，后來見識過不少多心，多才兼財，又開心又本事的孩子。原來準備得好，他們承受能力是可以超乎想像了。十六七八歲，青春無敵，應該開始具備難關難過年年過的心態了。

Exam results may be important, but somehow I find this line of thinking a little distasteful.

Great work.  Thanks so much.
I know it may not be practicable to continue expanding your table.....but people may be interested to know the no. of 45 points.  As far as I know, ISF still have not had its first 状元 yet but have got three 44 points this year.  Sooooooo close.  


Also curious to know how many of the 20 ISF graduates joined the school from senior grades???

You are very welcome.  I try to pull together the most relevant statistics that are disclosed by all the different schools.  While I think the number of 45 points students is interesting and makes for a good news article, I don't think it really reflects the quality of the schools since luck can easily move the scores a couple of points for a student.  40%+, on the other hand, is disclosed by almost every school and makes comparison easier and more meaningful.

I don't know any of the ISF graduates personally so am not sure when they joined the school but it will be another couple of years, think 3 or 4, before the students who spent all their time at the school will take the IB DP exam.

另外，ISF的 Billingual Diploma %  是跌了， 但平均分高了。  这正是颇多家长的挣扎， 博高分点好呀，定BD好呢？  HKTHK  & Annie40 两位高人点看？？

HKTHK - cradle to grave cohart 是2020 要六年后呀。  不过也不一定要有Grade One计起既。。。。但如果  19 out of the 20 joined from Grade 11 and the only 1 who failed joined from Grade 2......I will worry :(

I don't know if you are a current parent but the school has always indicated the range of BD should be around 60% to 65%.  And the % only dropped by 2% so it is insignificant.  Probably more a rounding issue due to the low number of students than any changes in the school.  Do you really want the %BD to be higher?  It is not easy to do two Lang A.

"It is not easy to do 2 language A" is exactly the point I am asking.  It's a trade off with overall points.  Incl myself, many parents are struggling if the kids should do Chinese B and use the time saved on getting better points in other subjects.  
What's your view on this?

Does the announced average include the score of the one who failed to get the diploma? If not, adding his/her actual score would actually lower the average

I think the average usually reflects all students

I find DC's result a little disappointing.  Seems that only 8% of the students managed to score 40 or above.  This is far below ESF's average (20% of 40+).
