我也是維小家長，我女兒九月上p1，銅鑼灣的校園比較小，但整體環境令人感覺舒服，或者我喜歡舊建築的原因吧。維稚不少家長都有一定背景，相信入讀其他傳統名校的取向是大的，我頭圈派位失敗，但這非我選維小的原因，我也只為我女兒報過一間私校。我相信很多家長都會報其他學校的，但我對現在香港名牌小學抱很大懷疑態度，舊名牌、新名牌都似乎工作量很大，令我懷疑他們為保持名氣而不斷要求學生超越，這不是我想要的學習模式。我記得維小校長說過，維小的學生將在學校完成大多數的功課，否則回家就會成為全家人的功課，小孩子達不到學習的目的。(大意) 我很感動有這樣了解香港學校現況而又要改變之的校長。我女兒在維稚讀得很開心，她上英/普班，現在普通話說得比很多香港人都好，英文比中文更好，原因非中文少，相信因為英文較中文相對容易掌握。基本上她已可以以兩文三語與人作溝通，她只是由k1讀起，不過三年而已，她的中文班主任是北京大學畢業，一口流利京片子，我覺得我的女兒能在這樣的學校讀了三年，這麼有成績，真是很幸運。維小唯一缺點我認為就是學費貴了點，但想想只28人一班，每人一部電腦，三個班主任，也覺得值。將來深灣校園落成，那真是像一個夢想校園，有山有水，學生能在優美的校園學習，不論將來學術水平有幾高，但對生命的品味，肯定比在千篇一律倒模式學校的學生強多了。我夢想如果我女兒讀得好，中五之後就可以以IB分數報考全世界的一流大學，多省事呀。希望夢想成真啦。

仲有少少問題，維小中文較弱，那需要額外上中文班嗎??
維稚直升上小學成數高嗎??  我仔都幾百厭、座唔定，我想比佢讀得開心、少壓力，維小應該可以吧??  維小每月除學費外，其他雜費多嗎??  佢地好似有泳會、球會等，要錢嗎???

維稚學費約四千幾，加上雜費、車費、額外興趣班、書費等其實大家可知數目頗大，不過教育就是這樣了，一分錢一分貨。我未知學校是否要求學生只能說英語，但以幼稚園看就不是，但我不覺得學生因此而會話不好。但英文科目多，都是外國教師，我相信小孩一定要說英語了。中文相對比英文難學，作為家長必須明白這點，就算學校很多中文科，也不保証小孩中文就會好。就算只得中文一科，只要質夠好，由淺白古文詩詞教起，令小孩明白中文的優雅與精神所在，那就會學好。家長當然要教啦，補不補習就各人選擇吧。稚多利亞到07年就有一條龍由幼稚園直到中學，以IB課程教學，其實今年開始已可全部直升，07年後當然都一樣，但也不是所有家長都選直升的。但選了稚小就要放棄派位。我對維多利亞的一條龍很有信心，也非常喜歡他們位於深灣的新校園，很大的圖書館，背後有草地樹林，泳池、球場，餐廳，面對深灣，完全是夢想中的學校應有的樣子，孩子能在這樣的學校讀書是福氣。

You got most of my point of view in Victoria. The point is wonder whether the amount of $$ is worth to pay on Victoria for the future or not???
Maybe I still not really understand how's the structure of Victoria Primary yet. After I understand more about their 誁座 on coming of June, I will got more confident on how to choose the right school for my son next year. ( My son is studing in victoria kindergarten as well on K2 this year)

My girl is also studying the Victoria Kindergarten.  She's at pre-nursery Cant/Eng now.  I did consider to let her go to Mand/Eng class but just wonder if they could manage it since she has no any knowledge in Mand and non of my family members speak that.  Is anyone in your family speak Mand so your kid can speak fluent Mand easily?  Just want to know more and try to plan better for my girl.  Thanks!

Hi anyone knows about how's the standard of Chinese in this school. Because I just heard from one of the parent today said that their chinese standard are very low. e.g. their chinese writing practise are much easier than the other school which even more easier than some of the K3. 中文生字抄寫. And the other side I am still worry about whether the standard in Victoria Primary can be catched with the school which compare outside(比較其他學校的程度)???

mayumi: 我看見普通話班很多都是講廣東話的小孩，我在家也不對小女說普通話，看見她約三個月就能掌握，所以之前唔識也問題不大。班中甚至有個鬼仔都識講啦。

liliansze: 中文好不好也與抄字的難度沒有多大關係，這是我個人觀點。但該校中文課程少，只有兩科，接觸面當然要比中文學校少啦。但學中文不是拿著教科書就能學好的，家長也要花點心機，你也清楚很多香港學生無論在中中、英中都學唔好兩文的，另外該校行國際文憑制，基本上中五成績已能報其他地區.國家的大學，和香港課程接軌與否好像不是太重要。

I am fully understand ur point of view. So, I will take time to understand howthe structure of victoria in their coming seminar. And also, my son is studing in victoria kindergarten now, I just wonder whether they will have to pay deposit to keep the space 學位 on coming this year before Sep? This is the point that I will find out... Anyway, very apprec. ur suggestion. 唔該.

Do you have interest about this school for ur kid as well?
Which school are your kid studing in now?Which location?How old are your kid? Why do you like to know info about Victoria primary school? (Sorry for these kinds of questions due I would like to know more about why the parents looking for Victoria..?)

If you child is studying in Victoria Kinder and you are willing to give up your P.1 allocation, you will definitely accept by Victoria Primary. My son is K3 student now, and his seat was secured in first round when I paid the school fee deposit. Don't worry.

My son is studing in K2 in Victoria in South Horizons as well. How's your kids? Which location are you studing now? (interesting Ha Ha...)
雅花 , why you still pay for the school fee deposit first? Do you think Victoria still can be considered? Which schools are you still waiting for?
And Charlenechow,your kid is studing in K2 now. Do you have any plan? If you don't mind, can we share our info n comments?

Just come back from the 北京親子交流團. Have your joined? My boy is also accepted by other private school. However, I still pay the deposit in VP simply because I think this school is the best choice for my boy. Though it might not be the best choice for other kids.
我相信每一個小孩子都有其專長.雅花囝并不是學術型,唔壓迫得. 比較傳統的學校,功課多,我相信唔會太適合佢. 而維小的課程同教學模式,管理層的教學理念,我都相當認同.所以我"碟"埋心水,俾佢讀維小.
