My girl wants to study grade 9 in UK next year, your suggestion please.

yes la. no harm try try, my friend applied for year 10 and year 8 for her daughters even in the Jan/Feb of the same 入學 year ! she could get chance to sit entrance exams of 4-5 top girl schools. 世上無難事,只要有心!吾試一定吾得,試咗可能又得! don't hesitate to try! I learned this from my friend and I teach my son to think and act so too !

AA都有個好處，多人搵佢，佢接觸過的學生及學校多，只要報上學生就讀學校及成績，佢已經可以話比你聽個學生的程度及可以報的學校，可能其他agent都可以，但我覺得佢真係幾準，因為一般家長最難的是搵與子女能力匹配的學校，有佢呢一方面的資料，下一步就會容易。

Cheltenham Ladies' College. The deadline of the application is 1st Dec 2013. And the exams will take place during the week commencing Monday 6th January 2014. and girls will take five exam papers in total; English, Maths, Science, Verbal Reasoning and Modern Language.

Headington School
The deadline of the application is 22nd November 2013
Exams date will take on 12th January, 2014

Badmington School
The deadline of the application is 21st November 2013
Exams date will take on 4th January, 2014

Just received the reply from St Mary :

"Thank you for your email but our 2014 lists are closed, and actually have been for some months now.  We have already started the admissions process for the 2014 entry.

I am sorry we cannot help."

For the two schools which are recommended from my agent, I have gathered the following information.  Grateful for your comment.

St Mary (Cambridge): Campus is small.  Rules are very strict.  New campus (?) for year 12 & 13.  Has photography, Psychology and Drama subjects.  Private room for Year 12 & 13 students.  Good results in Arts and Music subjects.

Burgess Hill : Big Campus (14 acres). 1 hr to London & Heathrow Airport. 10% students (70+) are boarders and nearly all are Chinese.  Good results in Science subjects.

Why do you say "hard sell"?

I am not with AA or any agent. I am telling the truth because I know even if you email directly to Headington, Headington would refer you to AA (if things haven't changed). I just tell what I know and hope it is helpful to someone needing the info.

我,touch wood, 暫時個consultant都follow 得幾好, 起碼有問必答，安排考試, interview都算交帶，好定唔好都會答我。

8月底開始聯絡AA, 個agent一路都跟得幾好，暫時幾滿意。

AA 一般採取門當户對策略, St Pxx Co-edu, DXS.等報Tonbridge / Charterhouse / Headington 一律沒問題, 若地區學校 even band 1 top batch 會叫你報排名低一大截的, 有一例子是某朋友兒子在band 1 成績優異, 在AA被拒報Charterhouse, 結果他找另一agent 報而又被取錄

In fact, AA would choose those schools that would definitely take your kids rather than letting them a fair chance to try some challenging one.  That is why people think AA is good in selection.  However, AA refuses to grant a chance for those who might be seen as boarder line by themselves.  This is good and bad depending on which angle we look at.

so u mean if AA quickly recommend a school to the kid, it's likely he can match the level, pass the exams and get an offer ?

可能我地好彩，AA跟我個CASE嗰agent真係幾好，不過這是幾年前的經驗，另外佢建議的學校是我地上去傾的，當然我地帶哂學生學校成績，我地同AA冇任何關連，只係講出自己同佢接觸的體會。
