唔該哂，睇o黎大家日後可儘量避免下列郵寄方法，以免打稅：
1. speed post
2. DHL

There's no VAT on kids clothing and books.
Declare on the green label "Personal Effects - clothing.... etc".
Declare a value lower than GBP18.00.
Sent it by Registered Post through Post Office (7-10 working days).
Never had any trouble.

Speed Post (EMS) & DHL, very likely get hit with VAT.

小郵包和包裹收費的分別。

我剛去郵局寄 小郵包 to UK，空郵，無掛號，788g(唔夠1kg), $104。係咪ok呢？

抑或寄 包裹 會平D?
或索性寄個重些的包裹（eg: 4kg) 想對底好多呀？

定係空郵/currier一定好貴？（數百元）

佢地主要分別係小郵包無掛號，你無得追蹤郵件。而包裹就有掛號，有得追查。價錢只係貴少少。

如果唔係太貴重的物品以小郵包(within 2kg)型式寄出應該無問題,

我之前寄過好多次都OK.

因今次要寄8.5KG先用SPEED POST, 不過最後有驚無險阿女順利收到不用打稅.

Under 2 kg goes by Small Packet, you can buy additional Registration(掛號) at $13.00. Ask at the counter. Registered Post can be tracked online (hong Kong Post only) Should it go missing in the post you can claim compensation from the Post Office.

Parcel Post (over 2 kg) has a higher postal rate (postage) and can't be insured. It is trackable on Hong Kong Post and Royal Mail online.
Not sure if you can make claims if it goes missing.

From experince, the bigger the parcel, the more likely to attract the attention of the Customs (VAT man)

State clearly the student name, class, boarding house details could do.
No need to go to post office to pick up.   The school will receive the parcel for the students.

唉...我部手機寄左差唔多成個月, 攪哂手續比埋TAX到依家都重未送到呀

以後我都唔會再寄speedpost

我上星期五寄 speed post ，而家個情況係在海關檢查中，我都驚要打稅，只係寄件衫同杯麵
