what i d heard is that st cat could train up the kids to be presentable and confident. that s quite important in school interview.

also, the reputation or to be exact the track records of st cat graduates could enable sc kids being offered an interview when they knock the doors of the aided school... that's the trick to win the game becuz there are many kids to knock the door but the schools could only have time to interview a few of them only.

No, I haven't talk to the principle as don't want to overreact at the early stage. Afterall, it's just started school for a week, trying to give more time to observe... But I told my son if he doesn't understand what the teacher said, ask her to repeat at once...
I have no idea why other parents keep silent, maybe they have same thoughts with me or don't care an accent issue... Anyway, hope thing will be getting better... Sigh~~

好讚成，八九成家長都會係校外谷！升小一成績，我覺得好。我當年小朋友小一開學後發現有唔少同學叩入神級津小，如maryknoll , st Mary 等。我自己小朋友，全無補習，雞精班，都有英小私校收，最後叩入英文津小。好好彩。

Talk to school management !! After all it is your kid who suffer if the NET is not real. The 3 NETs in St Cat for my kids are all Caucasians.

Really? I only hear parents complain the Chinese standard of St Cat. For all the parents I come across, they are happy with the English standard.

每年呢個時候都有呢類post,sc,hkps,km,kv話呢樣唔好那樣唔好，但每年呢幾間派位就次次都咁好！你唔想讀，記得出聲呀

Mimwing, 本人並沒有在此說三道四, 或揑造任何與事實不符之事情. 所有comments都是作為一個媽咪的顧慮, 亦希望在此得到不同而客觀的意見, 亦很appreciate有不少熱心家長作出討論. 而這正正是這平台的主要功能. 如閣下覺得這樣的open talk屬於"話呢樣唔好, 那樣唔好", 更jump to conclusion叫大家"唔想讀出聲", 實在讓我難以理解閣下之邏輯.... 作為家長, 不要忘記自己是子女的一面鏡, 同理心和容人之量遠勝入到好學校. 祝貴子女健康快樂成長!

支持你。谢谢分享你的经历。

当家长很难，向校长complain的话会不会得罪老师？万一没得换老师，老师又知是你complain，对孩子恐怕不妙。

也许多观察一阵，有机会时和同班的其他家长沟通下。如果大家都有同感，这样的complain更有说服力。

Have you misunderstood anything? My child is now in English/Cantonese class. What I know is every class will have one Class teacher, one English teacher, two assistant teachers and one Mandarin teacher. Is the English teacher absent on the Orientation day and the one who present was the assistant teacher? I am so curious on what your class/campus is as from my observation in the Nursery Fun day, all classes have foreigners as their English teachers.....

My son's class teacher is Cantonese speaking, you could tell she's sophisticated, know how to draw kids attention. Mandarin teacher is native, from Beijing, cheerful lady. I chatted w the english teacher for more than 15 mins and frankly, I can scarcely believe what I've heard... But so far I retrieved a ton of positive comments on st catherine, I think I can remain an anticipace to longer. Thx everyone!!
