■英基昨有11名家長出席第二輪諮詢會，商討是否接受教育局減資助。

英基學校協會下周二召開董事會，決定是否接受教育局於2016年9月起逐步減少資助。昨晚為第二場家長諮詢會，11名中小學家長出席，家長憂慮減少資助後會影響教學質素，英基主席唐家成表示，會維持學校的競爭力，保持教學質素。

英基學校協會於下周二董事會開會前舉行兩場家長會，首場家長會在本周二舉行，約20名家長參加，昨晚在西島中學舉行第二場，11名家長出席，部份人的子女將於2016年9月計劃隨兄姊入讀英基。

唐家成表示，政府計劃在2016年9月起的未來6年，先削減小學的資助，小學學費每年由現時6萬多升至8萬多元，2022年起的未來7年會削減中學資助，2029年完全脫離公帑資助，他指日後學費會接近市場水平。

信心全失欲移民

有份出席的中產港人家長區先生，大女今年是英基旗下的幼稚園生，約2015年9月入小學，仍可享較便宜學費，但小女在2017年入學，將交較貴學費，區先生指不會轉讀其他國際學校，希望兩姊妹可互相照顧，他批評教育局減英基資助不智，斥教育政策為mess（混賬），他對現屆政府無信心，計劃移民。

校方也指日後主要依賴學費收入，有家長擔心英基為爭取更多收入而大量收生，唐家成表示會維持教學質素，保持競爭力。另外，立法會下月在教育事務委員會將討論削減英基資助。

No one is particularly invited.  It was announced in one of their earlier ESF Newsletters when the meetings were held.
出席這種内部会議是没意思的、就算同「５得店」講is also like talking to a brick wall.  我相信ＥＥ＋社会風気、最好走出来遊行下、製造一点声音、可能会更有効。　整個政府、個個都等５切刷北大人鞋、誰人能操刀殺絶港英政府遺留下来的任何一種制度也好、意識形体也好、政協一定有位留比o巨。
無論以前ＥＳＦ在収生方面有任何不公平地方、但看整体ＥＳＦ学生的表現、我真係o念５到一個理由、要ＣＵＴ資助ＬＯＲ．

True, do not expect any change after these sessions.  Yet, as a parent I would treasure any opportunity to communicate directly with school management and voice out our concerns.  The message that a close to zero turnout rate that would pass to management would probably be that parents simply don't care.

這個是一定的、但不会是等到最後一分鐘才做野。　中途好多次都有機会反対亞、或者同Ｄ　ＬＥＧＩＳＬＡＴＯＲＳ反応下等等、我自己就都有写信去ＬＥＧＩＳＬＡＴＯＲＳ等等。　但欲加之罪、何患無詞、一般市民点同Ｄ政府官員玩野o亞.  話凍結就凍結左ＧＵＭ多年、又話ＥＳＦ　Ｄ　財政乱、係管理層問題、同Ｄ学生都無関ＧＥ、点解会用Ｄ学生来製旗！！　好似ＥＥ＋個政府ＧＵＭ垃圾、５通停出糧比班公務員？　合５合理？　

"....treasure any opportunity..." 不要忘記、這件事ＡＲＧＵＥ左好多年、人総有疲累的時候、、、、。

The decision was already made, the session was for informing the parents of the agreement reached rather than asking their support to fight for another round of negotiations, so it is hardly surprising that few were interested in showing up.

現在的 esf 家長，早已 "上車"，cut subsidy 對他們是沒有影響的，當然，除了有 sibling 還未入 esf 就另計，但這會是少數目。這個 information session 少人去不是很正常嗎？

同意! 朋友中, 有好多小朋友讀緊esf 但又唔受新制影響, 都冇人理.  出得來講嘅, 主要都係仲有更細嘅接唔上舊制.

同意! 我個小朋友都排緊英基, 佢而家讀緊另一間 is, 2016排到未,我唔敢講, 即使到2016先排到我, 我都唔怪政府cut 資助.  佢有過渡期, 而家讀緊d唔受影響, 其實家長有得預算.  我地呢d未排到, 如果到時先入到, 都預左budget.  太細嘅小朋友, 如果而家都未入kindy,就更加有空間去鋪排.

我個仔而家間is都好好, 不過就冇英基咁幸運, 有政府資助, 咁多資源. 所以我有疑問, 點解一定要資助英基, 唔係第二d is? 英基其實已經著數哂, 因為歷史原因, 硬件上已比好多 is 好, 起碼校舍唔洗爭先. 其他 is, 除左幾間有名有有錢佬或個別國家政府資助, 好多搵校舍或排校舍都攪左好耐.  無可否認, 社會上的確有好多更需要呢d錢嘅階層, 雖然政府一向用錢都不得其法, 呢樣又作別論.   

英基嘅存在係為當年英國政府派港人員而設, 而家已冇呢樣野, 所以資助得英基, 我又覺得無理由唔資助其他 is. 但我揀得 is, 又多少覺得食得咸魚抵得渴. 唔係我都要出來抗爭下, 爭取資源support我個小朋友而家呢間學校, right?  學費唔貴咩? 梗貴啦.  總之自己計過條數, ok就算.

問題其實唔係資助英基否, 大家湧去讀 is, 都係投本地教育不信任一票. 而家我為左小朋友補中文唔煩咩? 如果hk教育好地地, 我梗係想佢地讀本地啦, 起碼學好中文.

But ESF is no longer the same ESF either, previously their students were almost entirely ex-pats, now the majority of them are Hongkong residents.

I don't understand why people can't put this to rest. The decision was made, an agreement was reached, what else is there to bicker on about? It is like demanding a public park in Hongkong be closed because decades ago it might have had a sign saying "No dogs and Chinese allowed". Although that kind of sign is long gone but it seems bitterness runs deep and some Hongkongers still can't get out of it.

英基教育協會已接受政府提出撤資的建議，管理局指少數校內家長表示反對政府撤資方案，不足支持管理局否決建議。教育局以「終極銀彈」，提供2.7億元承擔港島中學的重建費，並會於英基接納撤資方案後，交立法會審議。

承擔港島中學重建費

英基與教育局長達兩年多的撤資爭議，管理局昨召開會議，通過接納政府撤資方案，英基主席唐家成表示，在本月初得知教育局撤銷對英基資助，在月中舉行兩場家長諮詢會，會上僅數名家長反對撤銷資助，故管理局指該數目不足以支持管理局否決政府的建議。

教育局撤銷資助同時，提出三個過渡措施，包括在2016年9月才正式撤資，分13年完成，現時的幼稚園至中學生不受影響。另外，教育局也會承擔2.7億元的港島中學重建費用。

英基估計，新的學費水平未來會調升，日後與兩所英基私立獨立國際學校的學費相若，現時英基的小學每年學費66,100元，中學為9.8萬元，日後會加約2萬元學費。受影響學校包括五所中學及九所小學，到2029年9月完全進入私立國際學校模式。

英基於1967年由港英政府成立，主要為英童提供英式學制教育，教育局2011年中預告，要撤減每年約2.84億元的資助，佔英基約1/4收入。

HAHAHAHAHA, it has already been pointed out that claim is a gross error. If you're Mr Doubting Thomas go stand outside Shatin Junior and Shatin College (they are in the same place) at going home time and see for yourself.
