My daughter sat for interview for the primary section last week.

I read the information on their website introducing the secondary section. It is a through-train and the curriculum development progress from "Broad" to "Narrow" in gifted education i.e. whole school gifted education approach for all students in primary school, and then differentiated and accelerated learning in secondary school.

As far as I understand, G.T. school follows the Renzulli idea. That is, "all" students have the potential to become "gifted & talented" (?) . However, they must be diligent and eager to learn.

If the curruculum development plan works, secondary school students will have both broad-base education and focus learning in specialised fields.

我個仔就係今年的中一生，比我的感覺此校程度相當高。其實我個仔小學成績是名列前芧的，但他只是後備入去。此校在三月開始已有銜接課程，所以已知道程度很深，但各方面都給我良好印象。學費$2,600(可申請減免學費，不難申請的)聽校長說放榜後會再次收生，各位可考慮，此校是一好學校。

程度很深 ?
Is it because of the accelerated learning ?

我只知道間小學D英文本身已經好深，所以如果响度讀開，可能覺得OK. 但因為我個仔只係普通學校出身，所以我同個仔都覺得D程度好高。

Don't worry.

Once the kids get use to the study and the environment, they will progress faster.

其實本來一路都沒有考慮過呢間中學的，(因路途遠，我家住大埔，而且是直資要比錢)但其後因我個仔曾經代表佢間學校參加優才主辦嘅「奧林匹克數學比賽」，之後優才寄信嚟介紹佢哋有個「多元智能測試」，我就幫佢報名。其間佢哋有個中學簡介會，我見得閒便順便聽埋，之後先知道原來間學校咁好。佢哋吸引我嘅有：1)小班教學  2)不是填鴨式學校 3)佢哋 D英文課程係跟英國的學校，最吸引係由外籍老師任教  4)中文堂是用普通話教  5)學校嘅師資優良(有老師曾獲獎) 6) 佢哋有才華班等等 所以便決定幫個仔報名。

Your son excels in Maths and that means he may probably be placed in the accelerated learning in Maths and/or Science.

I read from the website that the school has linkages with overseas institutes. One is in Australia and is specially for students with talents in Maths and Science and related subjects . Will there be opportunity for students to have short term study there ?

今朝幫個朋友去攞form,有個file介紹學校連同表格一套,要登記學生姓名,小學名同電話號先比form.

如果有興趣,我諗都要去攞定form來等派位消息會安全d.

由於中學部太新，好多事情都未定案，所以我都唔知，d學生日後有無機會去外國分校讀short term.  我只知道之前我提過的「多元智能測試」，成功入圍而成績最好的??個是會在今個暑假去外國分校免費受訓的。
