There is a prerequisite for entering an LRSM exam.
DipABRSM, but not ATCL, is the prerequisite for LRSM exam in the same instrument and same subject line. Likewise, LRSM is the one for FRSM exam.
Always check the updated syllabus online.
Therefore, an ATCL is not eligible for LRSM exam. But there are list of substitutions shown in the syllabus like LTCL or APE. In other words, LTCL could probably be considered as an equivalence to DipABRSM.
It's still hard to tell how much harder an ATCL holder should try before his/her LRSM exam. But as I often remind my students: even you get an FRSM, there is nothing you should be proud of. Instead, it's a small small world but also a big big world. Concert pianists, as many of us know, have rarely taken an FTCL or FRSM exam to qualify themselves.
Just for sharing: Art is never measured in terms of grades and diplomas.
