Any parents know the class size of SPCC, 6 classes for 147 students?

For this year's F6, 6 classes for 147 students (http://www.spcc.edu.hk/attachments/1857_School_Report_2010-2011.pdf  p.5).  However, different subjects, different class sizes.

部份名校通識成績相對較差，會不會是用英文考的關係呢

另外，印象中SPCC中一是好像開七班的，先天上她比其他學校收得更多尖子，加上學校栽培，部份中下游的有能力出國升學，造成如此亮麗的成績

其賞在名校讀的尖子很多已過了英國和美國的名中學，目標是入牛津、劍橋、哈佛 ......全球十大的大學，以前CE拔尖還有吸引力，現在沒有拔尖加上要做白老鼠，財政又可支持，何不行他們認為保險的路。

一向很欣賞你的文章，覺得很有用。
我知你仔係 dbs，很佩服你同亞仔都咁叻。

但今次，我覺得你對 spcc 有點唔公平。
spcc 成績好，你話有人話學校趕人走。其實，係唔係趕，都不能證實，又或者人地自己醒目，覺得自己成績平平，不如出國搏一搏呢，主動權在邊個手，根本不能證實。
點解人地成績好，就係 "篩選"；你 dbs ib 成績好，就要同 "篩選" 劃清介線？

同埋，點解唔放 dbs 成績？係唔係唔夠人地好，唔想放？

我同 spcc 和 dbs 都冇一點關係，不過，呢件事我真係睇到，幾英明的人 (我印象中，你大都客觀)，都會 "當局者迷"。

唔係想挑剔，不過有點不吐不快。

You are right, my careless comments on SPCC is inappropriate, no matter is true or not, I withdrew my comment and sorry for any inconvenience caused.
We need to be mature enough to segregate the issues, don't bring in my son or DBS as I don't represent DBS. You can read today's Apple Daily, the official reply from the Principal. DBS is not doing well in HKDSE. When I wrote the comment, I didn't have any info about DBS.

Thanks for your frank remarks and I learn something from this incident.

別只看班數，要看全級人數。

好像皇仁10/11全校有33班共1164人﹝http://www.qc.edu.hk/about/SchoolReport1011_ENG.pdf 2.1﹞，SPCC剘有42班1262人﹝http://www.spcc.edu.hk/attachments/1857_School_Report_2010-2011.pdf p.5﹞。皇仁雖然少了9班，但總人數只少了約100人。

而且部份中學雖預留學位給小學，未必盡收尖子。

I think it is a tough decision for DSS schools offering both IB and DSS how to place students in either stream.  If most of the top ones go to IB, result of DSS surely will be affected, and vice versa.  The impact may not be that great after a few years once schools get used to the DSS system.

F1-F3 7班，每班33人，一級約231人，別的學校一般是18X人。

I think for DSS schools offering both IB and DSE, they just provide another option for students.  The school fees for DSE and IB are different (I'm not sure if all DSS schools have different school fees for different streams.  But at least sure for some).  It should be students' choices to study which stream and the school provide them guidance, but not the school to choose students.

謝謝提醒。我回覆時那一刻，只著眼「班數」一詞。因為現在的學校單看班數是不能知道學生多寡。
