sorry, i don't have idea about york's pn as my relative studied in another local pn and she is now k2 student in york (she changed when she started k1)
for my daugher, she started her whole day pn in dec and took the school bus started from day 1. After school, the teacher called me and said she didn't cry at school but not even say a word. maybe she didn't adapt the school life yet and also she didn't understand what teachers said (we usually speak cantonese at home, but we put her in the international class )
I think she cried for about 1 week (not serious) because she needed to take the school bus, and she can say goodbye to us in the mid of 2nd week; I think she is doing fine but every kid will perform different and you can spend more time to talk with him about the happy school life, bring him to see how the brothers and sisters take the school bus and try your best to encourage him, i think these methods work for my daugher
and yes, suen fong chung in Tai Wai near Hing King Estate, and classes started from k1 only
