My K2 students also can handle those simple English so you really needn't worry too much. The examiner would repeat the keyword if necessary.
Sight reading can't be trained suddenly. Perhaps you can remind him not to change his hand position and read careful the notes are "step" or "skip", up or down. He will have 30 sec to practice the short piece, don't waste the time.
Don't give too much pressure to your son.  Even if he might guess the answer , still have 50% correct! :)

for low grade, they will use smooth and detached. :) easier for young children. :)

right, let him relax in this holiday. :) Maybe he will give you a big surprise!

Next time, ask the piano teacher to have aural training earlier and give him more mock exam before the exam.

其實老師一早問我佢英文得唔得..我見佢一星期有1.5HR 同外國人學英文,以為佢應該得.點知老師用英文教佢.佢連WHERE 都唔識..系老師同我講.佢唔系有學緊英文咩...我先知我個仔上英文堂學唔到野.

點解唔係一開始就由琴老師建議你需唔需要請翻譯架咩?應該係佢從上堂時及報考之前就要同小朋友用英文溝通下試試先!而我個小朋友又係K3,未夠6歲報左今年9月考2級,當佢報個時是由老師決定佢唔需要請翻譯的!其實你而家可唔可以補番請呀?如果真係唔識聽同得佢一個面對個考官我真係會怕佢會驚因而影響個考試呀!

老師話佢應該可以,請翻譯佢有問我請唔請,因為要比100元同埋都唔系好多英文.佢覺得可以唔洗.最重要系專心點.英文果啲字眼老師話佢已經明,聽得到.系我擔心佢唔得..而家已經無得補請了.

if the teacher said he is able to deal with those term, believe your son!  :) I also truly think the examiner will repeat the key word slowly if he/she finds out your son might not understand the question. :) In fact, I feel they speak pretty slow for younger kids.

It is true that no one can ask for an interpreter suddenly. They will assign you to the center without interpreters.

you can do that online, send the application by post or by person. The application period for 2012 is over already.
