I'm not GSIS mom, but always visit around the school campus.  I would say those kids are well disciplined and kind hearted.    Congratulations and enjoy yourself!

Does anyone know whether it is compulsory to study German at GSIS in year 12 and 13? I am pretty confident that it isn't compulsory, but according to my friend at Canadian International School it is...

Not in year 12 and 13 cause' you don't have to pick German as one of your A levels. Before year 12 and 13, it's compulsory though.

totally agree with u bobby. very useful advice. btw, do u have kids? did u want them to go to international school or traditional local schools? I am struggling.

Not sure if you are asking me.  But I feel that there is no definite answer to this international school or local school question.  Every family's circumstances, consideration and expectation differ.  It's hard to tell which one is best for your child.   Even if you decide to go for, say, internationsal schools, each school still has its own distinctive features.  So it's really difficult to generalise.  I guess the only thing we could do is to gather as much information as we can about the schools that interest us and make the best decision we can in the circumstances.
