I think you are quite right in saying some of the students are 新移民 rather than 大陸人.  Many of those are very well educated and speak good English as they are employed by the investment bank in Hong Kong.  One of the recent trend is there are more "Goldern Hair" children studing in this school .

They are very much like an international school but with Chinese (mandarin) focus.

我個女讀緊蘇浙k1, 不過唔覺有大陸人, 好多都係父母講英文, 然後比仔女入去學國語, 我同個女去同學生日會, 十居其九都係日常生活同個女講英文.  好多都係外國讀完書或係外國返黎ge人.

Ramondi primary - what is the banding for this school? Will most primary graduates go to Ramondi Secondary or where do they go?

I heard Ramondi primary is pretty good but not the secondary session.

My boy has its kinder K1 offer too, I am headache now..

高主教中學是band 1.  你所講果間小學好但中學唔好的是蘇浙.

我正是住在北角, 我屋企隔離左右大多數都係普通話人, 佢地的確好有錢, 但唔代表有質素, 佢地小朋友選校首選正是蘇浙.

Both(Primary & Secondary) Section of Raimondi College are Band 1 School.

我都無話讀KCS係好有質數,不過只係知好多人報.......我剛巧都識了一個由國內移民香港的家長的小朋友入讀KCS K1

要比較蘇浙VS 聖保羅堂VS高主教: 我唸蘇浙會比較接受這類家庭.......

Just for kindergarten
1) 聖保羅堂 - 名校 need to compete P1 places
2) Ramondi - newly setup for kindergarten. The only thing need to find out is how many places is secure for the kindergarten student for P1 places. 到時再出去考, no reference
3) famous for 普通話 and a good level of English with 學券.  不是真正一條龍因中學唔掂.

我個女係蘇浙K1果班, 暫時唔覺有無B6家長, 不過參加過學校活動同聚會, 都覺得家長質素都OK, 小朋友都讀得好開心, 學普通話亦學得好快, 未夠半年, 都可以用簡單普通話對答, D發音仲好正, 比我仲要正, 我大過左先學, 學極都d音都唔正, K1英文有NET 每日45分鐘, 學JOLLY PHONIC, K2之後應該有1小時,  即係普通話2小時, 英文1小時, 不過我都有D擔心英文, 其他好多同學英文都已經好好(因為父母好多都平日講英文), 驚佢英文有D比人落後.
而家K1無咩家課, 下學期才開始練畫線, 有時又驚佢鬆得濟, 如果想谷, 呢度唔係喇, 不過人地話佢地小學才會比較谷, K3用P1英文書, P1用P2英文書. 英文應該都唔差.
不過真係因為無一條龍中學, 對我黎講真係一個隱憂, 不過希望佢小學六年打好過底, 中英都好, 考到好既中學啦.

I think if u have a school visit during 8:30-8:45am, you can see so many western students, 7 seat vans that have drivers to bring kids to go to the school.  Also, I am one of kcs parents, from My observation, most of the parents are high quality and able to speak both fluent English & manderin.  It is really a good school if you have chance to get an offer, really need to deeply consider.

In term of language, 香港小朋友 is just in between.  There are many expat children in the school. As for mainlanders, many of them are quite educated and could speak good English. The reason that they also want to send their child to KCS is they find learning Chinese is more difficult than learning English

KCS - very traditional, 英普強, 多外國小朋友 (but most of them are not happy to attend the school), but 老師好嚴好惡, 好中國式學校.  If your target is KCS primary school, you should go their KG.

St Paul's Church - loving and caring environment, like a big family.  重德育, 宗教, 品德, 校長很用心去教好小朋友.  A really good school.

My kid had studied KCS, then changed to SPC.  So I know pretty well both schools....

I am surprised to see the comments about KCS. From my own experience recently, I know so many 'educated' Hong Kong locals / Westerners / Chinese Mainland families are dying to send their kids to KCS but cannot get an offer.  I work in finance, most of my colleagues are very well educated (HK graduates from DGS, DBS, Lasalle or overseas graduates from Harvard and Yale etc) and they ALL see KCS as their first choice!  Sigh...you have no idea how competitive this school is and how most really really low key famous people want to send their kids there.
