Thanks for your accomplishment. In fact, my kid is very disciplined and he is very hardworking. Sometimes, I feel sorry to push him too hard, so I decided to give him some private and play time. I watched the DVD the other night. He was 3 at that time and he's really happy and it seems that there would be no worries for him at all. Since he went to primary school, I became very nervous and push him to study this and that. He was not happy and in fact, this also affect our relationship. I decided to take it easy. As long as his academic result is ok, I don't really request him to be the top one. In fact, there will be no difference at all if you are top 1 or top 10 in future. It's rather he is interested to learn and take initiative, this is very good enough already...
Hey, you donnn't have to worry too much. My brother was also very slow in learning before he was P.4. Guess what, he really improved signifcantly when he was in P.4...It's really amazing. He did not have good result before P.4. But since P.4, he suddenly opened his mind. Eventually, he got A in his Mathes at school cert and A Level. Have faith and confidence in your kid. You never know and it's never too late to start.
Many thanks lojo11. I was once a very strict parent. I was really mad when I know he got 80 mark for his maths, I scolded him. But he was very nervous whenever I talk to him. I really gave it a second thought. I could not let this situation continue and became even worse, I decided to take it easy and not to push him too much. This really worked. Just would like to share with you guys, it maybe better if you learn to relax, your kids maybe more motivated to learn and willing to learn...Learning is a long road. One or two failures are really nothing. You never know one day, they will have drastic change that you don't expect. Add oil all parents...
