有無小朋友申請St. Catherine同Kentville都唔收？

完全同意,我個仔只見了sc不過是waitling list,既然唔收,無謂強求。又不是只有他們才是好學校。我已找到我理想的幼稚園了。

其實每個小朋友都有其獨特的個性﹐面試當天的表現並不代表什麼﹐有時不只大人在選擇合適的幼稚園﹐其實小朋友自己也在選擇﹐有些幼稚園面試時他們會投入些﹐有些他們卻沒有太多反應﹐可能意味著他們對那裏的環境並不喜歡﹐又或是面試的老師不合他們眼緣也不定。

我現時也未有幼稚園收我的仔仔﹐開頭確實很不開心﹐但現在心情已平復了﹐就算最後真的沒有心儀的幼稚園收我仔仔﹐我還可以在K2償試插班﹐對嗎﹖不要情緒低落﹐妳的心情小朋友會感應到的﹐還有千萬不要在孩子面前說他們的不是﹐小朋友的心靈是很脆弱﹐他們很懂事的只是未能用言語表達出來。希望早日收到妳的好消息﹐ME TOO

真的, 小孩子到了自己喜歡的環境, 看見有眼緣的老師(通常喜歡靚老師), 表現也不同.

小孩子有他們自己的路. 我們可以幫到的就幫, 不能的可能是壞, 亦可能是好, 誰知道? 可況幼稚園多的是...

If I were you, I would choose Stafford because of its high English standard.

其實這Kentville & St. C 都收咁多人，一定有小朋友入讀名小學，不為出其事呀，而宜兩間都無直屬小學，學費又貴，k2又要讀下午校，茶點又要自備，諗落都無咩好，咁多小朋友約600人，事實上教師係咪可handle倒每位小朋友，主任都答不出家長問小朋友情況啦。真係工廠似d。我識人家的小朋友在St.C上年畢業，我問佢St.C好唔好，佢都答唔出有咩特別好，仲話間間kinder都一差不多。

Don't feel so upset.  There will be many kindergarten still available.  Have you tried to apply Victoria at Homantin (new branch in Kowloon)?  The school is same as SC and the reputation is as good as SC too.

don't be upset.  my kid is in Kent K3 now.  but during the KG hunt, it's not my target school.  those target school i want my daughter to go were one-dragon school, but none accepted her.  I get Kent's application form only on the last day and pass by on the way i went to another school.  i just had limited knowledge about this school when i applied for my daughter just know it's famous.  i don't mean Kent is not a good school, i just set it as last choice because i don't want to bother on the primary selection if my girl could get a place in those one-dragon kg with direct admission to their primary.

but Kent is the only one accepted my girl (i didn't apply SC) and so why she's now here.

Needless to say, Kent's standard is high, they have homework everyday and a little bit more on weekends.  weekly dictation etc.  i would say it could be tough for a 5 years old kid.  but i know there are quite a no. of withdrawal of offers due to the kids are accepted by many other kg as well.

so if you do want your kid to go to Kent, you can contact them to show your eagerness and sincerety.

可以咁講, 香港區Victoria 係好出名的, 九龍區就SC出名. 今年Victoria開始發展到九龍區, 校舍全新, 都係活動教學同主力英文好好的.  至於老師方面, 何文田的校舍係全部用返中康怡的教師, 所以佢地都好有經驗的.  如果你有媽咪朋友係住開香港區多數會識的.

Dear muns,

Don't be disappointed if you failed in St. Cat & Kent. My son is accepted at both, the reason is that I trained him up from 6 month according to past paper questions.  Or else, how can a 2-year old child answer all questions and sing in front of stranger within 10 mins?  I think a lot of BK mums do the same.

So it just like a commercial deal in adult's world.

Dear Anise,
I totally agree with joannespapa.  Though my son is also admitted to SC (I didn't apply for KV), I am not going to register (this Sunday) definitely.  We applied only because we wanted to see how 'famous' it is and to test their selection standard.  My husband doesn't like SC to ask for your detailed family background especially where parents/brothers/ sisters study in primary and secondary schools.  In fact, they may select those who have higher chance in getting into 'famous' primary schools no matter how they performed in the interviews.  My son didn't answer or did not know how to answer at all (according to his father) during interviews but he is accepted.  We think this may be due to the fact that his brother is now studying in a 'famous' primary DSS.  I did not train up my elder son either.

Anyway, a balanced and happy life is most important to a child.  He/she has a long long way to go - don't be upset on such small thing.

I knew that a friend of mine, her daughter has been accepted by SC, but she said, her daughter don't know how to answer most of the questions. Their family has no background and not rich.
Another friend, her boy quite smart and can answer all the questions, his parents all professional, but the boy wasn't accepted by SC.
It is so strange.
Anyone know their queritia?

My elder son studied in Creative Kindergarten (Yau Yat Chuen Branch in the same address as Kai Kei Primary School).  In fact, he is allocated to a 'not-so-famous' school during the 'Big Lucky Draw' in 2002 and he entered to this school by examination early this year.
