I think wingsma has clarified that CKY has about 60% native speaking teachers but might not has even one NET (who must got the TEFL/TESL or equivalent.) because they teach English as first language. Actually I was impressed by the P.1 or P.2 kids presenting in native English at the admission seminar. We don't need to stay at the state to count how many NET there, We just concern how native my kid speak in English. As you may know, some students even study in IS or abroad like Australia, if they insist to talk in Cantonese with their HK classmates, eventually they would not spoke fluent English at all (I read it from newspaper. ). Thanks to the school, it implement the ECECE policy. The student must talk in English (E) on Mon Web and Fri, and Chinese (C) on Tue and Thus. With such language environment, many primary students even talk in English after school with their school-mates, while seldom parents talk in English with their kids.
It just like the IS that no one counts the no. of NET as a yardstick.
