I don't understand why the Mainland people can easily get Permanent ID for the child. Even though they born in HK, it should have some certain criterias (e.g. the child must live in HK after born for 7 years continuously so that the HK Govt can grant the Permanent ID). If they don't meet such min. requirement, the govt should not grant them Permanent ID. Also, some of the countries if the nations pay country taxes, they are eligible to earn those benefits. Otherwise, they don't make any contribution to the country but they can earn the country benefits. Very ridiculous!!
In many countries, like US and Canada, if you want to keep the resident status (i.e. Green Card), you should keep going back to US and Canada for living at least 3 months per year. In Japan, if the residents working abroad, they must continue to make contribution on JP social security systems so in order to keep their JP nationality. Of course, they should go back JP in each year.
If HK Govt not to propose these kind of similar regulations, our HK resident lost much benefits and that cause serious social problem in future.
Poor HK pure residents!!
