Q It's well known that SC's English is super. How about it's Chinese and Maths for English/Cantonese class?
A. Average
Q. Which primary schools that most of SC students go? Thanks again for the valuable comment from all smart mamas and papas.
A. Think there is no formal statistics. Just heard they are all doing well (the defn. of "doing well" is above average).
Remarks:
i. Guess SC students quality are quite good. 8000 applicants apply for 700 seats.
ii. my kid will not join either York or SC. (declare no conflict of interest)
I guess it is difficult to judge between SC and York or even others. All schools have their strengths and weaknesses. It all depends on what you like to provide to your child. Some prefers reputation; some prefer English with Mandarin environment; some prefer other things ........also whether the child and you likes the campus and teachers during the interview.
I agree that the difficulties of being admitted is one of the few reasons. Frankly speaking, if the selection criteria depends on the difficulties to be admitted, but why not many parents choose Creative Kln Tong (one dragon to their primary school) with only 1 (am) and 1 (pm) class. Only 54 places out of few thousand of application. So, it is very difficult to fight for the places. Some parents' reason is their interactive teaching environment that does not match with their expectations. (for sharing only)
