Hello,cow1303. It is so great that you share your experience. My son is just one year old, but know nothing. How can you train your child with this good performance? I also want to attend ascort, when can I apply for N1 ?

The application forms are available on the first saturday in Nov, every year. Which means for this year, it should be 03 Nov 2012. From 9am-1pm. But you better double check @ school website near to the time.

I take care of my son myself, and i always take him out and wonder around. Personally I feel that school tends to go after the out going type of kids; the kids that not afraid of talking to a stranger; the kids use eye contact; the kids who are more observant, etc

As a mum, I believe we can always educate the children thru playing, as long as your child enjoys, sure he/she will learn fast too.

I heard that the child needs to study their playgroud, so that the probability of N1 entrance will be high, is that true?
BTW, Do you know any school bus route set to Ma on shan sunshine city? as I cannot search the web site of HKPS (Shatin), any link you can give me?

my son did not attend HKPS's Saturday playgroup before, he just went straight into the N1.
Therefore i am not sure about whether the kids got advantage to go into the N1 if they had attended the Sat playgroup at HKPS.

can the child in pn be promoted to k1 directly in hkps asvot?

yes, N1 directly to K1.

My son is a big boy, I also want him to get in this school, can you share that your child 's perform on the interview date. Is it he must to follow all the command and some interview skill. Could your child speak in the interview?

Hi ~ Cow1303,

As u know HKPS wouldn't give application form to small B, so i guess the youngest one who attends the interview this year is the one was born in Aug 2011, so 15 months old to attend interview. But for yr information there are alot of super big B apply too, they are from the previous year, like Oct - Dec 2010 B. So the competition is keen.
For N1 and K1, they hv both anglo-chinese class and international class, but from K2 and K3, all classes are international.

u can select interview language u prefer, of course u can select international class with interview in English, but one thing need to bear in mind is what if on the interview day, u are sent to a PTH teacher table to conduct the interview,  would u voice out and exchange teacher? or would u 頂硬上完成interview?

I had the same problem when my son applied N1, I dont understand PTH, so i didnt take any risks, and i finally applied anglo-chinese, interview in English.

For my son's interview content, u can refer to the first page of this post.My son was able to speak abit during interview, e.g. he said HI, HIS NAME, BALL BALL. He was quite observant during interview, coz he was pointing at the table and said STAR (there was a yellow start sticker on the interview table hiding underneath the toys), i was surprised that he spotted the star, as my husband and i were so nervous during the whole process.

I think there are alot of kids can follow and comply during interview, but, there is limited number of offers school will send out, so i personally think the most important thing the kids need during interview is LUCK.
