I will choose SC although only a PM place has been offered to my son.  Their teaching approach is what I am looking for.  Besides, I have plans to send my son to ESF primary school and SC has a definite advantage.

Dear all

Thank you very much for sharing your experience.  My small daughter got a place in Kentville but failed in SC.  I was very disappointed when I received the result from SC yesterday.  At that moment, I think I must write a letter to SC for a place.  But now I have my decision la......Kentville.

As one of you mentioned below we have to live in a real world.  All primary schools are traditional especially those famous school, unless you have to send your child to international school la.

My hubby's collegue has a daugher studing in SC (K3).  Her comment about this kindy's teaching style is traditional.        Somehow, I don't feel surprised because good academic results need hard work.  I wonder if they has less active learning in K2 and K3.

看了許多根德 & st. Cat comments, 我覺得前者是傳統，後者會活動，而兩間的小朋友都係讀得開心。

其實每位家長都想子女學得開開心心，無壓力就最好，奈何又要應付將來小學的考試默書測驗，就是因為這樣，便速使我們為小朋友去選一間幼園可以銜接小學的傳統教學。

而今期 '學前教育' 有段篇幅講 '三三四' 學制概念幼稚園，趙榮德學者提到家長選幼園，最好以以下3點為先….
1. 以孩子為中心教學
2. 持續評估為主
3. 多課外活動

我又會憂心將來3、4年後我們的子女幼園畢業，當中有多少間小學會有這些新教育概念來銜接 ‘三三四’ 呢？

If I wish my daughter to study Mary Knoll, did I make a wrong decision to send her to SC?  Appreciate your advise!

Exactly the same case with you that both kinder accpeted AM session.  Most likely I will also select Kentville.  Have you make the reservation fee?  Later on, my kid - Denise will be Cherrie's schoolmate!

I wish my daughter to study in Maryknoll too.  But as I know that Maryknoll is by lucky draw unless you are the old student or staff of the school.

Let you know an example, my collegue's daughter just got a place to Maryknoll (P.1) in 2005.  My collegue is not their staff and old student.  Her daughter was a small girl (Nov child) and no school offered K1 seat to her at that time.  Finally, 聖羅撤 accepted her because my collegue phoned to the principal everyday.  So it all depends on luck.
