First imagine, then vision, then action, finally completion. Please dont give up if u start imagine otherwise please don't. Be one of "most parents". So willing to take risk or not? I'm still consider both risk and rewards from parents with their son studying at st Joseph before going to next step.

SJPS 係一間好傳統的學校，中英數都不是讀高一級或半級！正常程度！

學校重視閱讀，常有不同的reading scheme,獎勵型式，不做便沒有獎囉！我想不致放罰！不過我相信每個孩子都有能力應付有餘！因為只是三四個月完成二十本書矣！

它們是大班教學，一班三十二人，要有效控制秩序，適當地去應付騷擾份子是無可口非的！本人常有參與做家長義工，也略可窺到班內情況，真的有時會聽到老師鬧不要再傾計吧！不過我相信孩子除了學習課本上的知識外，學習守紀律也十分重要！

至於功課，毎天五樣左右，專心的一小時內一定可自己完成！我甚至覺得比幼稚園的功課輕鬆！

只要每天都做妥功課，略有溫習，考試一定沒問題！臨急抱佛腳什麼也不行吧！

不要小看自己孩子的能力！

The headmistress told the parents at the P1 orientation day that the school was a traditional one and those parents cannot accept it should choose another school.  They use same level of textbooks as other local schools, i.e. P1 uses P1 level textbook.  So far for P1, the homework is reasonable and can be finished within half an hour, similar to other local subsidary schools.  My boy told me that 2 classmates in his class failed in the exam and will repeat P1. Not sure it is true or not.  
Do trust the kid's ability and they can easily adopt to fit the school.  Some kids are 遇强越强.  St Jo is good school. Most importantly it has a linked secondary school otherwise you have to go through another 'interview process' after 6 years.

I have pushed a lot on my kid to do math, english and chinese homework everyday since k1. My kid has already adapted a daily schedule to complete all the daily task before watching tv or play toys. But sometimes, I observed that he is not smart enough to enter St. Jo as I'm might made a mistake in academic requirements . After you both shared your experience, I will take the shot. Thanks a lot. SJPS 係一間好學校, 我都好想個仔入, 又免費

去年第一 round 自行計分抽唔到, 結果考入了間直資男校, 我打算等 P2 試下當插班生再去考下

剛去左小一迎新曰，我初次聽梁校長演講，感覺非常好，她聲音動聽清楚很有校長台型。感覺她很關心學生。老師也很nice 她們原全沒有講很傳統會怎樣對學生，和叫妳退學。好像和論壇完全不一樣。她們很關心家長學生和資源充裕,可能是宿班能更有效改善得愈來愈好，如時並進。

Why you prefer SJP over the DSS school? For the DSS school, majority of its students can go to its secondary school, whereas for SJP, the percentage is much smaller.

6 年直資 primary + 6 年直資中學, 條數好貴, 而且 SJPS 名氣很好  

Isaacmommy, 分享下我去年九月的經歷, 天主教家庭, 拿著 20 分, 家住港島, 心儀華仁和聖約瑟兩所男校, 思前想後, 最後選了聖約瑟, 因相對學位數目多少少, 希望抽中的機會大一點, 最後都是抽不到

直資方面, 報考了港同, 聖保羅男校, 高主教, 聖類斯, 最後選讀聖保羅男校, 放棄參加中央派位階段

無論入到直資或津貼, 其實都盡量讓小朋友去盡, 事關競爭很大, 唔通入到直資, 放軟手腳, 搏大霧就可穩升中學? 我自己打算小二起去考插班華仁和聖約瑟, 讓個仔試試實力

有冇人可以 confirm 一下 st joseph 有冇小二至小五既扣門位? 因為好似d人講到 "有出冇入"...

手拿 15 分可以話希望不大, 因太多 20 分在手的小朋友, 在灣仔網可以摶下軒官, 但不要太大期望

我諗大抽階段聖約瑟和華仁命中率更高, 是旦入到一間都開香檳, 小二至小五一定有插班位, 不用擔心

不用太擔心超細仔考學校的問題, 現在並非考 K1
