好像是要稍作調整的。你是應屆家長，為何不知？打三十大板！

其他網友告訴我的。因不同區份各自劃一平分三組，是固Y區之band 1 可能與他區不同，如在Y區 band 尾尾的，選擇以居所地點派位時，會因區份之基準不同，而作出調整。正是你這些"人材"所做之工作。有可能變成band 2。

但若貴府小主是band 1 頭的，應沒影響。但以訛傳訛，不敢肯定。而且調整機制祕而不宣。你亦很難準確知道在 band 1 哪個位置，除非他讀宣小、各小而又名列前茅。則傳邊區都影響不大。若像我家主人讀的那間，考第一都唔知屬band 1 頭定尾。小心！

according to present rule of game, if your child gets Band 1 in Y district and wants to apply for F.1 place in Central & Western district, EMB wd first recalculate or adjust his banding taking into consideration the two districts' differences in actual performance of their respective Band1 students. And so a Band 1 student in Y district may become a Band 2 student in C&W or Kowloon Tong district.如意算盤打不响la!

有一樣不明白，每一校网都有許多外區的學校供選择。這不是另一種"港幣當英磅使"嗎？又點解釋。

根據教統局升中派位組別問與答中的一答 (大意)---
學生不一定能保有原區 (Y區) 的派位組別, 而是會再和新校網 (中西區) 的學生成績做比較, 以決定其屬於新校網的那一個派位組別, 所以, 似乎港幣只能是港幣, 英鎊仍是英鎊

大姐，我今朝去左"公幹"，一返來即覆架！

諗諗下，都有計，可找與丫區同樣band 1 比率之學校比較。如Y校有50% band 1，中西A校差唔多。咁A 校考50 (當100人)是band 1.若你在Y校又係考50. 咁應該都係。

求其諗諗，你自己精算一下吧！

一間famous school,有不同區的Band 1生去自行報考,教署會將各考生排ranking order然後送交該校,那么Y區第一與中西區第一是否经過調整?How?

If it works, after 3 or 4 years training in city school then go to country side / island primary school. I think at that time your kid must get Number 1 of Band 1 result in the school.

Not work as Govt informed that the result will adjust according to the students in new net.

Even it is work, how come a band 2 students got a place in band 1 secondary school can capable of competing w/ all those band 1 students. It really hurts their self confidence as they usually got highest marks when in primary but the lowest when in F1.

Please considerate to your kids not only the banding of school for you to show off to the friends. It really 害死 your kids

I agree with Philip. Getting into top band 1 secondary school is not a must for success. The learning capacity of student is starting for sharp development in around the age of Form 2-3. Top students in P6 may not be the top students in F5. Top students in F5 may not be the top students in the University. I agree that such environment for their development is also important. I consider that Band 1 to Band 2中 can acceptable. Considerable parent as you will check with the kids frequently whether they  study happily in school and  whether the teaching suit them. Besides, it is not only the school effecting the development of your kids.  :wink:

I think you all misunderstand what judy's mean: The school net of Central-western has more "good" school" If she applies in this net, even she is so unlucky (the random number rests at the end of band one line) a band two school in this net may as good as some "seconded band one school" as in Kwun Tong net.
