It has a lot of music programme for you to choose. For kids from 6 to 23. Each class has limited number of spaces. Each year around April to May you have to go to the Music office and get an application form, they will ask you to go for an audition. If you pass, then they will accept you as a student.

I think these few years many parents know about the scheme, and so the wait list is long. The school fee is low, for Elementary class it is just over $1500 per year. For Intermediate class it is aroung $2500 per year. As for the Advance class it is around $3100 per year.

If you go for Elementary class, there should not be any pre-requisite, but as I said, there are too many kids, so maybe they will test for aural and rythm.

If you are on wait-list, you can call them up and ask how many before you and under what conditions that you can be admitted.

另，我有一部初學用的柳葉琴出讓，用了兩年，八成半新，連琴書，後備弦一套，後備微調一個，共$300，有意請pm我，謝謝!

有的,但每年都不同,
你要到報名時選擇, 好的時間和地點又會有很多很多人報名, 我記得上年小提琴初班共有一千人報名, 只有二佰多個位, 今年一定會多過上年了,
因為你選擇了這個時間, 之後再升中級和高級都會是一樣的時間, 不會轉變的,

收了入學的家長注意,
如果有學校書簿和車船全費和半費減費的同學,
一樣可以向音樂事務處申請全費或半費減學費,
向自己上課中心的辦事處問吓

請問如小朋友想參加小提琴course.......
但音統可能會sent左你去學長笛嗎?
另想問家長會可陪小朋友上課?(elementary)
小提琴是否得6-8yrs?9yrs開始無得學???
是否要年年test???

For an advice,
if you don't want to WASTE your children, give them a better way (private lesson).
MO(Music Office) courses are just for fun.

十多年前囡囡曾參加過音統的Orchestra,還去了interlochen的Summer Camp.音統未嘗不是值得考慮的另一選擇!
時間是不會浪費的,特別對孩子!只是各人目標不同,不一定要走這條路才可學Music,長大一樣可以是其他專業,但這過程未嘗不是一種得著,將來或許工作之餘可以享受,退休之後重拾學習亦大有人在。
