This year Headmistress Lee Tuen Yee reiterated the flexibility in the stated percentages at this year's P1 admission seminar.  She also mentioned that the average portion of "outsiders" admitted is 40-50% in the last few years when I asked her personally after the seminar.

This is probably a question asked every year. :)

但是對那一群有關係人士的家長來講,他們很希望可以將家裡的孩子一起安排在一間學校上課,這點是可以理解的,就算係現在既政府官津自行派位都是咁既制度.....

現在只不過是1st interview，人人有份莫担心，In 後D嘅唔代表机會低嘅。最折磨的是等2nd In，日日等電話，cold call電話或冇來電顯示嘅通通唔敢唔接，接咗唔係又失望再等。出trip去外國都要留意電話嚮，冇電話到又打去學校問驚miss call，舊年的心情真難形容，到現在仍難忙記。

祝各位家長能幫小朋友找到心儀的學校!

子女在同一家小學上課是可以理解的，可是校董並不是在學校上班，校友子女亦不會增加照顧上的方便，在這個競爭非常劇烈的環境給他們那麼大的優勢 (平均超過50%)，難免令人感覺偏心。

我相信校董子女及有闗係人仕所佔比例極少, 校友的比重多大則不得而知. 但我認識無任何關係考入的學生也不少.

Co-ed在幾間頂尖名校中, 花在面試挑選學生的時間及資源最多, 第一輪面試差不多用了一個月時間, 而第二輪校長親在面見二百對家長, 每次都用接近半小時至一小時時間, 可謂用心良苦.

其他名校有些用兩天時間面見二千多個學生, 真不知道如何在如此短時間內作出嚴謹的甄選工作.

但是校董為學校做很多事，勞心勞力。而校友大多明白學校的理念，因都是學校教出來的。

I heard that Jacky Cheung (張學友) accompanied his daugther to attend an interview at an international school last year (normally, the admisison year at international school is one year ahead of local schools). Not sure whether his daughter was rejected, or just gave up the offer.

Interesting to see that he opts for local schools now.

No idea. But I know his oldest daugher is studying at German-Swiss International School.

其實校董數目有限，所佔申請人比例應該不大。倒是校友子女兩天內(25/9+27/9)就全部見完，我就覺得比較意外。(根據本文章一些看官早前提供的資料，27/9已有無關係/基督徒開始面試，因此得出此推論。)

Not really, my friend's girl just interviewed yesterday who has a sibiling studying in SPCC.  another friend of mine is non-related and non-Christian who had interviewed on the first day (sep. 25)

Wow, that's news to me.  My friend (non-related, non-Christian) submitted the form at 9 am on the first day and her son was interviewed today; another friend (non-related, Christian) submitted the form on the last day (10/9) and her son was interviewed last Sat (2/10).

I'm all confused about the allocation of interview dates - can't figure out a sensible pattern based on the school's pattern for last year and various dates provided by parents on BK.

They interview all catageries everyday, but majority are related and also some non-related at the beginning of the interview, afterwards, then finish all the non-related applicants.

You are welcome.  But the earlier the interview date does not mean the higher the chance to get the offer.  Thus, we still need to work hard.
