HI ALL
Mind if I join the conversation ?
For RWI, it emphasis the phonics then blending and then learn how to spell a word by listening to the sound. This course is a combination of both phonics and writing. For the 1st few months they will teach you simple phonics then blend the word together. eg: CAT, you know the sound of C, A, T but then the students should be able to put the sound together then get the right sound. Then they will move the more writing and listen to the tutor and write the word down. Next they will move to more difficult sound like th, ou, ay, oy and eg..... When you move higher , they will read some passage , hold a sentence where they will listen to the tutor and write the word down (a bit like unseen dictation) and also some writing.
I find this is quite good as both my children will blend the word and read those out before they come to me for help.
As for Enopi English, more on writing and comprehension. Depends on your level and the content may be a bit different. My son is learning things like on the table, under the table and etc..
HOPE THIS HELPS |
