My pleasure........hope your girl will have a happy KG life in KCS like my girl.  

Your girl will for sure can sing many many songs in Mandarine (with relatively difficult chinese words) within a few months as singing is one of the way that KCS has adopted to teach the children Mandarine, which, in my opionion, is quite effective.

Frankly speaking, 好多HK學生給屋企寵壞, including my kid (港童), not only 國內人學生.  

I think what I can say to your question is:  Each year, KCS has many many applicants, the school does screen the background of the parents and the ability of the kids before accepting them to KCS.  So, I can only tell you all the kids I have met in KCS are quite smart and good and all the parents I know really care about the education and manner of their kids.  So, this has never been my concern after spending 2 years in KCS.

I have tried to recall, FYI, in my kid's class, I think there are more non-chinese (i.e. foreigner/mix/korean) than what you have termed "國內人學生".

今日囝囝第一日返KCS K1, 我唔知点先為之好(因為個個要求唔同), 但係"我自己本人"就好滿意, 老師好nice, 小朋友雖多, 但笑容未有離開過佢哋塊面, 好care D小朋友, 坦白講, 相比起interview嗰時, 真係有D意外; 回想之前同你一樣, 交咗兩間留位費兼書簿雜費, 唔知讀边間好, 好煩惱, 一間近屋企, 一間(KCS), 而家揀咗KCS, 今日比我嘅感覺係...好彩啫!

我囡囡亦今年返KC, 但是K2班.  我都覺得學校的感覺比我之前INTERVIEW時好很多.  囡囡第一天巳說喜歡上學了.  不過我覺得校車方面未安排我妥善, 因為上堂是1:40PM, 但這兩天校巴要到2:10PM才到學校.  我覺得僧好影響其他學生的學習進度, 因為老師要等其他學生才上堂.  可能開學會混亂才會有此事發生, 希望盡快改善.

hi all,i'm also new in kc...my daughter studies N1 this year....but i feel little disapointed to kc (just my own feeling on the first 3 days i hope i can change later on)
1.it's a large class 28 children with 2 teachers & 1 assistant only, from the edu. web shows the  ratio is 1:10.2 but in the comming OCT will add 2 more student then add 1 more teacher hope can give more care(too crowded any messy in the classroom,coz too much parents)
2.too much mix/foreigner.....they are quite active/freedom...not much discipline......their style are like that but i'm not discriminate on them....on the other way can train my daughter how to handle with some naughty boy(crying/fighting)
3.school is old and not enough hygiene esp.the toilet.....rubbish bin is not covered,not enough liquid soap & not putting at student's arm reach level(ground floor's toilet),my daughter had some insect bite after playing at the indoor playground....
4.school buses have no sit belt(told by other parents),after the students arrive to school, there were some adults(teacher?) assist the students to step down the bus,after that some students 's hand were not holding by adult(ofcoz for k2&k3 students were asked to lined up aside),for the small one just gathered next to the bus to wait for somebody guide them to their classroom,at the same time accident may happened.....coz others school buses were comming or some of the students may walk arround to the stairs...for a 2yrs child even they can walk properly but when going up/down the stairs should accompany by adult,right?and also the school buses are always late...
5.for the NET is also new...just like a fresh grauate student(just a mix),not much experience....i think that singing popular english song is more attractive than story telling at the first beginning of nursery.....
For me i think children have a happy school life in kinder is the most important...academic is a bonus(except in K3 coz they need to face P1).there may be some differents between N & K
i hope my daughter like this school and won't cry too much when she attend the class by her own (next week)

exactly the same feeling.  Hygiene is the major concern.

No seat belt in school bus? how can a two years old kids manage to seat nicely & safe in school bus without seat belt?

28 students is small class in sochit already. some have 38 students. the first three days were very crowned becoz of the parents.

i think better arrangement for sochit for the first three days is to restrict the number of parents in the classroom. i.e. only one parent/caretaker is allowed. (I saw a kid accompanied with the whole family (dad+mum+maid) in the first day).

我想你應打電話問吓會好點, 你上網到KC網站找聯絡電話, 然後找呂小姐, 她負責K2資料.
我是上月份打電話去KC問可否插班K2, 她說有很少位但要面試先才決定, 不過最後都收了.  但返學時我看到K2班其實不太多的插班生, 每班大約有1~2個, 很多是直上K2班, 人數可去到38人一班. 其實巳很FULL了.  今次我算是好彩, 所以你最好明天打電話去問一問會好些.

Next year, 插班 K2's vacancies in KCS will be lesser lah.....some KCS K2 boys transferred to St Jospeh KG in K2, however, this year is the last year St Jo still have K2 (it will close after next year based on my knowledge).....so, lesser KCS K2 students will go away after K1, therefore 插班 K2 will be more difficult starting from next year.

如果終極目標係英華小學或男拔小, 係蘇淅讀幼稚園係咪一個好選擇

香港有很多好的幼稚園, 不一定是你選得最好的KG便可大機會入名校, 之前報紙都有寫 -- 男拔小校長說現在會重視品德修養, 言行矩止, 因為現在小孩子巳非常聰明及多材多藝, 所以現在注重品德教育及說話有條理. 在文章上還舉了一個例子(當問到考生識不識玩鋼琴? 考生回最好可做到回應是:我不認識鋼琴, 但可否講二胡樂器?  這樣做便會加分.
我看完此文章後心裡想, 一個5 YEARS OLD的小孩子可以說話有文有路, 那個小孩天資必高(不說小孩, 現在Y2K的青少年都未能說話得體).  不過, 但我相信家教是非常重要, 如家長由細都大以身教方式及注重品德教育, 我相信入名校的機會相對亦大很多.
