yes, I'm referring to SHCS's pm session. actually SHCS was my 1st choice of primary before I learnt that am is a private school and only pm statys gov't aided. I heard that the chance is not bad for lucky draw to get into SHCS, but I need to overcome the problem of pm first as the workload at primary will be very heavy.

你會揀一間你自己覺得好好，唔讀覺得超可惜！但小朋友未去到門口已經表現唔鐘意，入到去唔夠十五分鐘就話要走呢？！

i had a similar decision to make a few weeks ago, i chose the one i prefer, which i think is a better path for my girl.

this experience is observed during the interivew / registration day?
if so, i think small children's mood & preference changes - easily & from day to day.  once s/he made new friends in one place, s/he'd start feeling belonged to the school and happy about going to school as well.

i'm very interested to know which one u have chosen in the end too!   :)

就係我的小朋友經過門口都已經好興奮地拉住入去,

同 N 班全校人講 3 歲會轉去讀, 我揀左GH 了

take a balance, 小朋友好興奮果間, 對你黎講係咪完全唔可以接受?

你囡囡適應能力強唔強? 有d小朋友, 就算初初唔鍾意, 好快都融入到新環境, 有d, 我知由開學一路喊, 由3個月至一年都有, 最後喊左成年個位小朋友既媽媽頂唔住, 學期未完已經退學, 所以要睇下你小朋友既性格.

a. 經過公司門口都已經好興奮地想入去做, even 人工一般, 但感覺係可以做到終老;
b. 份工係父母介紹, 佢地覺得好好, 人工多d, 有進升機會, 唔做覺得超可惜, 但未去已經覺得唔會做得耐.

我自己幫小朋友揾學校會先以佢地意願作首.  eg. 細女今年3月in 某kg n1, 之前從未經過該地點, interview 後6月去該區玩才第2次經過kg 門口時, 佢已經認得該校重話係自己間學校; 相反, 另一間kg 在家附近, 1星期經過2-3次連望都無望.  

我覺得讀書唔係下下睇學校會教幾多, 小朋友可以學幾多.  如果小朋友從小有一個自己鍾意環境下開始讀書, 就會愛上上學, even 去到"鮮魚行小學"一樣可以升band 1 中學再入大校.  eg. LS小學係仔都想入, dj 鄧藹霖大仔當年入到可惜変左惡夢要轉校, 但係米等於失敗?  好彩佢當時醒覺得早, 最後個仔重入埋港大攞埋文學獎, 名副其實條條大路通羅馬.

德望校舍新,兩文三語有d似國際學校課程(無學劵課程深d)
st.clare's 老師好似好好,校舍舊d
聖心名氣最好,我妹讀過其小學,她說她英文好,都是小學打的根基好
怎樣都好,恭喜你有三間禁好的選擇.

very imaginative  example.....I think it is right to respect the feelings of our kids. They are the one who study in KG, not the parents.  More, they are all good kg.  Whichever your choose, it won't be a bad decision.

hi Ian,

Just want to know why you don't agree GH secondary is a DSS school, but there are many Christian DSS schools, such as DGS, DBS, SPCC, Ying Wa, etc.  Also, HY will change to DSS secondary school as well later.

Hi icbb1230,

     But Good Hope is a Catholic school.....  not Christian school..... I don't agree with a Catholic (secondary) school taking the DSS approach only.

Of course, I know GH is a Catholic School.  But just wonder why you think Catholic School can't be a DSS school, but on the other hand, Christian school can be.  Is it meant you think it's against the Catholic principle and belief, do you?  

No offense here, but just my curiosity.

No problem.  It's an open discussion so everyone can have their own interpretation.

Similarly, my own interpretation of DSS shouldn't match the Catholic belief for education.  Just that.

What do you think about St Paul's Convent? You did apply it for your daughter last year.

sorry, i am just a by-passer, I like to comment on spk & shck mainly, as I don't have much info on the other 2 school... good hope is yet too new to be commented (except the 校舍, very impressive indeed), , may be you can judge if by it primary and secondary section!

I am sure most parent with daughter aiming for traditional school will apply for spk first, and also shck and others..

those who are lucky enough to have the "honour" to choose between the 2 , have a very very tough decision to make..most will pick spk because of its fame, and % of admitted / applied..

my girl is a small small girl, she was not being accepted into any of the major traditionals last year.....and I had been doing a lot of researches, my conclusion is shck really has its 優勢..curriculum wise, it is more balanced, structured, parents will not have to worry about their children 程度唔夠and has to 出去補習at a young age, PTA is well organised, parents voices will be heard; my only dislike about shck is the staircase!!
