But why we need our hobby to reach "至top點"? It's for personal enjoyment. Lang Lang need to reach "至top點" coz it's his career.
My expectation for enrolling my child to art/music lesson is to provide them a channel to express their emotion, learn to appreciate culture & 陶冶性情.
Personally I prefer learning an music instrument than art because
1. Music can be played in group or alone. Drawing is more a lonely project
2. child will need a lot of practising in order to play a piece correctly and beautifully. This experience can be applied to learing and studying.
3. Music is a very gool channel to express mood.
Of course, this is on the assumption that the child really enjoy learning music, but not being pushed by their parents.

Music has structural & proven methods in training(e.g. Suzuki violin method), also it has a lot different institutions to provide accreditions for learners with certain levels of competencies (e.g. ABRSM). So it might be relatively easier to tell whether your kid has reached certain skill level by taking music exam (which is reccognized and accepted almost everywhere around the world) from different accredited institutions.
I am not sure whether drawing/painint has this kind of benchmark that you can make reference to.
