Don't be misled by "廳", it can be a small space with serveral hundred feet.  Even the golf area now can built a 天象廳.  What I would question is. . . To 觀星, the sky must not be light-contaminated  ...

Not sure whether you are aware that Miss Leung was born in Macau or not?
Before Po Leung Kuk took over the school in 1999 and renamed it as TSL, there were some Portuguese (or Macau) families in HK sending their children to this school.
Miss Leung was one of the pupils studying there.
May be she joined TSL in P5/P6, not 100% sure. 

You see, very “bright” future for girls!!  

Just kidding.   Don’t take it too seriously!!

Yes, the school was previously named Portuguese Community School, and it had a very long history ....

我都要惗吓如何 induce 個女這方面的興趣, 依家佢對恐龍比較大興趣,  記得同認得好多恐龍名。有時佢問我英文讀音, 真係幫唔到佢
