9. Boys have advantage in SPCC's interview since there are not too many boys who get into 2-in, since girls are always smarter than boys at this age(only my personal view), the no. of girls interviewer should be more than boys, which means boys will have a slightly greater chance, ha ha.

12月超細B係咪架啦, D學校多數都收晒大B先, 不過你小朋友都好叻呀 ! 咁多間都有得2nd interview. 我囡囡都係12月超細囡, 我已經決定唔會repeat,即使全軍覆沒, 最多去叩門囉, 小朋友有實力啲話, 一定有希望架 !

細B第一年P1 照讀, 到9 月照考DGS, DBS, CO-ED  等P1.  得就得, 唔得就算繼續原校P1生活,

成績好3月開始留意考插班P2.

On the contrary, I saw 1 girl vs 3 boys on the 2nd interview.  But I do agree with some of your observations.

The diffrence between big B and small B only shows in early years.  It will narrow down eventually.  You boy is already smart, though he is a small B.  It is not worthwhile to repeat and waste one year.

agree! 我個仔都係超細B，現在二年班已覺同大B冇乜分別！

我覺得樓主有些茅盾，如果那些學校唔鍾意收細B，根本唔需要比second in 你個仔，你報的間間都係名校，好多大仔都冇2nd in，你個仔能力上一定唔輸舌，又何必杞人憂天呢？

Usually I heard from a few friends who had the experience of small kids saying if Ms Lee from SPCCPS thinks that your boy is smart but too "small" for this year P1, she will indicate for you to apply again next year. Did you get that impression? If you didn't, then maybe you will be OK. Did she mention anything about your kid being "small" at all?
Two of my friends' kids had that experience and their kids both got in after one year. One of them repeated k3, and one of them went to another school for p1 first and then applied again.
