Please advise the appropriate mthly charge for playing cello.  My son is only 3.5 yrs old.  Is it too small for him to learn????  Can i have the cello tutor information???

我囝囝剛參加了音統處的大提琴訓練班, 有沒有家長的子女在這裏學習呢? 這裏的老師教得好嗎? 其實我囝囝本身已學習了綱琴, 還在學校參加小號訓練班, 現在還要參加大提琴訓練, 我真怕他吃力, 我曾勸他放棄, 但他說很想嘗試, 這樣我應不應該讓他參予呢? 可否給予一些意見? 我還想問大提琴是否要用很多時間練習呢?

My personal comment, 3.5 years old is too small for cello as well as piano.

If you say, you want your kid try different musical instruments, then select - it's not a problem.  Otherwise, how can he manage his time?  Let say, each instrument practise 30 minutes, it uses almost 1-1/2 hours a day.  Furthermore, you may want him to participate band's performance, at least 3 hours per week or 6 hours per week.  That's why he doesn't have time.  My elder daughter is learning piano & trumpet, the tough time, she practised piano 3 hours & trumpet 1/2 hour in this summer holiday.  My younger daughter is learning cello, she just P2, she needs to practise 1/2 hour a day.  Both of them need to attend band during weekdays, 3-6 hours a week.  So, this is my experience and want to share with you.

Totally agreed what u say. My daughter also learning cello and piano. As she needs to space 45mins for each instrument everyday. Now I am considering if she needs to giveup one of them.
Anyway. how long does your daughter learning cello ? where is she studying ? please share your experience.

My daughter started learning cello since P1, she is now P2.  She is studying at school, so I know nothing about her.  Her teacher is very good, but my daughter is always late (she doesn't know how to read watch).  She misses the class so often, therefore, I want to change teacher at home.  It's difficult to find a good cello teacher, so I change my mind to push my daughter go to cello class on time.  No way!!!!!

Me too. My girl learns cello since P1. She learns in Tsang Fook. She just had her Grade 2 exam in Sep.

Your daughter is also P2 now?  If so, she is very good.  My daughter --- no grade--- so poor, always missing class.
