剛剛收到面試時間

可能只是大家有misunderstanding. of cause we are not sure 100%. however, does 100% sure admit school is the suitable one for our son?
we have made research and studying during 2 year, not trying to find out which is the 100% sure primary school. we are looking for the right school for our son. as i have mentioned before, i do admire parents who are able to find 15 schools which they think are the right ones for their child...
we only could find 3... so, bad luck for us already...
we have already target on few DSS schools because we knew that traditional education system of hong kong, international school, are not suitable for our son... so we are not wasting our time and the chances of other parents' child to be admit in these schools.
imagine a parent submit 15 schools. if finally the 10th, 12th or 14th of their choice take their child... is this school really "好過控制在這個無能政府身上"?
"但報多幾間, 機會都會大一點" how come? the chances is actually not higher, but by this way, you actually diminish the chances of the others at the same time, so it makes look like the chances is bigger...
"其實我們和小朋友咁辛苦"... do you think it will not affect their interview performance?
"希望買個保險而已" i think both lovingparent and us have a different way to do so, that's all.
"為甚麼不自己主動想辦法呢！"that's right, completely agree. go to the open day of the schools, talk with the teachers, talk with the pupils, talk with the parents, understand the characteristics of school, study the curriculum, follow their philosophy, consult your child, find what he wants and what is the right choice for him.... at the end of the day, every child who has applied 10, 20 schools can only attend one school only, so it has to be better the right one, right?
once again, it's purely personal and familial, every parent should have different vision for their own child, so just here to share mine.
i do agree the way the other parents does and don't really have any comment.

完全同意，最好所有學生做個IQ test，根天資派去唔同學校，因才施教。

are you certain the accuracy about this IQ test? will you absolutely agree with the result whatever it is?!

Well said.  That's why I have applied for more than 3 schools for my kid.  After the first two interviews, she seems to be enjoying it.  She is now looking forward to the next interview.

Aside from the 3 DSS/private schools I have applied for my kid, the 4th choice onwards are actually government subsidized schools, which is why I would rather not waste my time and energy to apply for more than 3 schools. Every parent has different agenda, but I do think that many government subsidied schools aren't that bad and I do agree with the traditional learning so if my kid can't get into any of the 3 DSS/private schools I'll enter the big lucky draw, hehe!

我10 oct都要in 3間,本來有兩間同一時間,但其中一間提早咗兩個鐘...9am...11am...3pm,跟住阿仔夜晚仲要開生日會,真係好驚佢頂唔順,太辛苦喇.

間間學校都十個選一個,有啲二十個選一，今年競爭好大，除非抽勿都讀，如果唔係，要小朋友有最佳狀態，老師又鐘意佢先得，大人都未必次次可保持，何況小朋友！報多幾間保險D。十五間唔撞時間當上面試班！ ...

2004年沙士後一年, 出生率唔算高, 競爭唔算大, 過兩年競爭重大....!

我認為回復以往的自由報考不同區域的小學,較現在跟住區報小學來得公平.

我覺得世襲冇咩問題, 唔通個小朋友兄姊係度讀緊或者係果間小學畢業,個小朋友都唔可以係度讀咩, 帶住個小朋友周圍去面試, 妳估好舒服咩, 做完一大輪嘢佢唔收妳, 妳咪仲唔開心
