想報暑期班, 請問佐敦的香港兒童棋院口碑如何?

青衣區我就知於6月會開圍棋班..(某補習社與圍棋發展中心合辦)..but大家可能覺得地點唔就腳!

另外，想請教在學的小朋友的家長們，大家最初是否都參加親子班呢? 不然的話，如果家長都唔識，平時自己點捉棋?

兒童棋院 at Jordan is one of the largest chess schools in HK. It's good too, but I prefer 香港兒童圍棋學院 in Mongkok a bit more. The latter one has a big area for children to play chess before and after lessons. Since more chance to practise, improvement will be faster.

It is better for parents to learn at the same time as the kids. Yes, parent and kid can play chess at home. After a period, the kid can easily win the parent because the kid can learn faster. Then, the kid can play chess on the web with people in all parts of the world.

多謝你的回覆. 我會試兒童棋院. 以前曾於香港兒童圍棋學院參加過課程, 地方大還有閱讀閣, 本是不錯,但覺得行政有些亂, 試過無老師上堂, 待家長問才急急"捉"一位入課室, 還不止一次呢!老師又常轉!可能是我不好彩撞正而已, 但已令我對他無信心.

Most big chess schools welcome parents to learn beside the kid. If a school does not allow you to do so, pm me. I will introduce another to you.

香港兒童圍棋學院 has just experienced quite serious teacher turnover in recent months.  Yes, the administration of 兒童棋院 should be better, and they have more teachers.  Just that the place for chess playing is smaller, and not many kids stay there to play chess after the lessons.

It seems that both schools are not bad.  Do they offer any trial class?  And, do you mean that kids are free to go there anytime not for class but for finding others to play?  好似麻雀館咁，有空就來切磋下。

I know that 香港兒童棋院 offers trial class, but not sure about 香港兒童圍棋學院.

For 香港兒童圍棋學院, if the kid has a lesson on a certain day, he/she is welcome to stay before and after the lesson to play chess with other kids. Sometimes teachers will play chess with them too, and comment which step is good and which is bad.  A lot of kids stay there to play on Saturday afternoon.

If a kid is not having a lesson on a day, and he wants to play chess, there is a condition staying that he should pay a fee of $x0. But they never enforce this fee, and I never pay.

Yes, it's rather like a group of old men playing chess in the public playground.

Thanks!  看來加入此類棋院比一些補習社掛單式授課較佳，教可能度度都差不多，但有其他小朋友切磋棋藝和棋院的氣氛，應該會較理想。待我再研究一下上課時間。謝謝!
