I know that 香港兒童棋院 offers trial class, but not sure about 香港兒童圍棋學院.
For 香港兒童圍棋學院, if the kid has a lesson on a certain day, he/she is welcome to stay before and after the lesson to play chess with other kids. Sometimes teachers will play chess with them too, and comment which step is good and which is bad. A lot of kids stay there to play on Saturday afternoon.
If a kid is not having a lesson on a day, and he wants to play chess, there is a condition staying that he should pay a fee of $x0. But they never enforce this fee, and I never pay.
Yes, it's rather like a group of old men playing chess in the public playground.

It seems that both schools are not bad. Do they offer any trial class? And, do you mean that kids are free to go there anytime not for class but for finding others to play? 好似麻雀館咁,有空就來切磋 ... |
