09年9月入讀蘇淅幼稚園K1既家長.......

Ohs....I am "big headed"....Wendy, to me, there are not too many 親子activities in PN, since Sept, only a X'mas party and the KCS big big pinic (which I have missed) so far.  Is this almost the same in KG?  I am expecting more involvement in school activities with my child though I am a working woman.

Don't worry, K1 有兩次親子旅行(半個學期1次),今年去香港公園+動植物公園,再有1次大旅行係家長會辦.每個月有園藝會,家長可以參觀. 下星期,學校會有親子體操表演,好期待佢地的表演.

school bus serves HK side only, and I have checked with 保母車, they only got line from Kwun Tong to school, but not from other locations in KLN side.
唉, I need to think about ther methods la.....

As far as I know, the school bus is operated by the school directly, not outsourced.  You can check the school's website for the routes.

If cannot find a school bus, by bus route #118 and #112 or by MTR loh.....the best way maybe your whole family move to HK Island. If I were living in Mongkok, I don't think I will apply KCS loh as I personally do not want my kid to travel such a long way to school.

依家又冇其他心儀學校收. 我老公話鍾意呢間有普通話, 所以就呢間lo....
依家睇怕都要自己接送la..

there seems to be more in KG than PN.  You will have more chance in these 3 years according to my previous experience.

a bit headache for my daughter now.  she also has an offer from HKUGA primary school.  Two very different teaching style.  But I will incline to go for HKUGA as it has secondary section ......  But she likes KCS primary.

Of course, all children will like their mother school.....I think it is a wise decision to choose HKUGA primary school also if it has a through-train to secondary school.  My sister-in-law, who is a alumni of St Paul Co-ed did not apply for St Paul, but has chosen KCS primary school for her daughter as she wants her to learn Mandarin for longer time.

I think it is a must for the parents or his/her representatives to go to this Orientation Day....So, most parents will go.  For last year's PN orientation day, my husband (I had to go to work) went and told me it was poorly organised.  He even thought of forefeiting the place of KCS after the orientation day as it gave him a very bad impression of the school administration.  Hope the KG section is better this year.

The school will give a talk to the parents in the orientation day.  And the orientation is for parents, not children, so, don't bring your kid.  Last year (PN), because the orientation is not properly orgnaised, my husband and many parents ended up missed the talk.
Books - must buy from outside.  KCS just gives you a booklist.
School uniform - you can buy from the school supplier on the orientation day or from outside.  Based on my experience, outside suppliers in North Point are cheaper than the one chosen by school.  But as you are Kowloon people, may not be familiar with HK side, so, to save the time cost, suggest you buy from the supplier chosen by school.
School fee - Yes, pay on the orientation day
School bag - buy from the school canteen
