My boy was certified [global development delay] too.  Now he's 33 months old and will start 特殊幼兒中心 this coming Aug.  For details, you can ask me!

發展遲緩 = 自閉症傾向？？？
你之前有無排過訓練中心做訓練呢？

希望你唔好介意我問咁多(其實仲有好多)問題，
因我真係唔知點做好...或者點樣同佢玩好!!!

Don;t be so panic first.
Dvelopmental Delay doesn't mean Autism. Many children with developmental delay can catch up later on. Some childen have it coz they ahve inappropriate exposure towards the world since he/she born or they need much guildance to grow up and learn this world.
Besides, there are several types of developmental delays, such as Language delay, motor delay, cognitive delay...etc. If you want to talk more, pm me, and i can explain to you it better details.

首先不要理會任何名稱, 要確定BB發展遲緩的地方, 碓定訓練方向, 一步一步與家人一同努力(家人同心是最重要的)
其次可加入其他社區組職, 如協康會家長支源中心, 明愛家長支源中心(堅島), 他們有很多小組及經驗之導師可幫助小朋友, 當然還有一群經驗家長等.

Today I feel that it is a little bit good luck to have a child like my son... just delay, have strange behavior.... because when I take my son to hospital today, I see a baby with very hard body, unable to move the arms and legs, cannot move, cannot speak, very very poor.  I am unable to settle and feel very afraid.  So, for those parents with delay children, we are good luck

其實由BB未出世時, 覺得祇要BB四肢五官齊全, 我地都非常開心, 一直以來BB精靈活潑、天真可愛, 但當兒科醫生評估後覺得佢發展比較慢時, 我地真的不太相信, 原來當事情發生係自己身上時, 真係唔容易去接受......

因為一向我倆都認為吾駛太急要BB識咁多野住, 等佢開開心心, 但現時又好似要佢更加努力地去追返上黎, 好似我地累左佢咁......唉......

不過現時己收起左D唔開心既心情, 積極地同佢一齊努力追......

I have seen many kids who were diagnosed as having developmental delay (motor/speech/global..). But some of them can catch it up later on if appropriate training were given.

Some kids have delay coz they did not have enough exposure to the world, or some need special arrangement to "learn" this world. Therefore, LOVE, therapy and education are important to them.

我都好希望囝囝可以好快追返, 甚至可以唔駛讀兼收位就仲好(我既夢想), 所以現正安排入讀幼兒園, 希望佢可以適應到......

我都想另外再俾D training佢, 但幼兒園既學費己經好貴, 加埋保母車費又好貴(因我住的地方遍遠), 若要再自費training的話, 負擔實在太沉重...

有無媽媽可以俾D意見呢？

我覺得有特別的training很重要, 我個仔之前都返左10個月的幼兒園, 但進步程度不及做2個月的training大, 因training可以令你知道做些什麼活動可以幫助到仔仔, 係每個星期都有新的活動, 跟據小朋友的進度而設計的, 而幼兒園只是提供小朋友有足夠的社交及訓練佢地自理, 如果兩者揀, 應該係training有用d。

雖然training的費用好貴, 但係真係好好多, 同埋要知道小朋友最weak的地方係邊.

我個仔依家做緊言語治療, 佢星期六做左一堂, 今次好乖, 肯玩足一個鐘.  尋日還開始哼歌仔.

同埋我係bb展買左好多玩具, 個st看過, 都話可以訓練到佢.

你如果有需要的話, 打比我, 我pm個電話比你.

你個小朋友返幼兒園, 有無比老師complaint? 我個仔9月讀n1(普通學校), 好驚佢比人complaint & 叫佢退學.

但又未排到特殊幼兒中心wor, 不通係屋企浪費時間?

自費training is a must !!

is 陸美媽 a full time mum?? If so, no need to send her to nursery, just bring kid to training $350/lesson ( toddler training in Heep Hong) totally $1400/mth. And start home schooling. I did it last year for my girl when she is 2 1/2 years old.

Even if kid 讀兼收位, you better get 自費training, because 兼收位 do not provide specific training to you kid.

I just met a mum in summer couse, her boy is 3, her boy starts兼收位 at 2, but NO IMPROVMENT, she is now line up for SCC..... wasting time. The best thing is by the time her boy 讀兼收位, she sent the boy to have 自費training OT, very good, her boy can take on and off clothes himself, 扣button.....

do not give up.
