Hi Cassidy Mom,

I remember that you live in MOS, right?  We live in Whampoa Garden and that's why we didn't see Ms Chan on the school bus.

Calix is still like a baby and always "luen up" too.  When I asked if he knows his classmates' names, he'll say a lot of strange words.

Yeah, Calix also said they watched Noddy yesterday.  I asked if they'd sung any song.  He said yes and "fish".  Don't know if the song is about fish or not.
Calix only mentioned Ms. Chan at home but not Ms. Lam.  Is Ms. Lam in the classroom?

Do your kids like KV?  I asked Calix if his likes his pre-nursery school or KV. He said KV.  I asked him why and he said "it's because if I don't cry and behave well at school, mom will give me a chocolate candy and sticker."  He also likes to eat the snacks given by Ms. Chan too.  But I'm afraid he's eating too much snacks now...

Yes, Ms Lam is in the class.  My daughter said she played the piano not Ms Chan.
My daughter likes KV so much, same as your concerns, I am afraid my daughter eats too much snack now.
Yesterday, she had seaweed.  What about your kids?

Yes, they got seaweed yesterday.  Calix always asked me to give him the snack immediately after getting off the bus.
Today it seems that they didn't get anything from the teacher, right?

No, my daughter did not have any snack today.  
She told me teacher read story about a rabbit and a sheep go to school.
Yesterday, they lined up and played the slide.
Anything more to share?

My son said the teacher read a red story book today.  When I asked him what's the story about.  He said "mickey".

i'm worrying about the english standard of the teachers... coz yesterday i wrote a notice in cassidy's handbook.. and here is the msg to miss chan

i said

miss chan, can she wear rainboots back school in rainy days?

and miss chan just signed by the side of my note but she didnt answer my question...

BTW, @the day of orientation,,.. she pop up 1 or 2 english words ... her pronounciation is not quite good.. eg.. she told us to see the folder if we have any questions... there are many "general information" she said "jan la lo- yin fong mei 唇"

cassidy told me yesterday didnt watch tv.. but read story.. but she didnt tell me whether they're in groups or not.. coz i saw the msg from the other thread they seems will be in groups.. so kind of apple group banana group.. didnt hear her mention about that

I called Ms. Chan on Friday after school and she returned my call this morning.  Some info. got from Ms. Chan:
(1) they have 點名

(2) if our kids can't go to school, they won't call us to confirm whether our kids are sick or have any reason for a leave

(3) school buses stop inside the dorset campus; teachers along the way will lead the kids to toilet first before entering the classrooms

(4) kids are divided into 4 groups now (those take school buses sit together); will re-arrange the groups once the class routine is settled

(5) kids are required to take out their snack box by themselves after washing hands (Ms. Chan said my son is slow in taking out the snack box)

(6) they'll encourage the kids to eat as possible as they can but won't force the kids to eat/finish all if the kids don't want to in these 2 weeks (honeymoon weeks); after these 2 weeks, they'll be stricter in asking the kids to eat their food

(7) they had briefed the kids some rules when wearing the school uniforms (don't know what exactly are the rules)

(8) they had taught the kids to sing 有隻雀仔跌落水 last week

Hope to hear some sharing from other moms too.

miss chan phoned me just now and telling me the rainboots issue. i talked with her and she told me there're few new classmates back school this morning... (those who sisnt back last week coz of some reasons) and there are few of them cry..

miss chan told me they sit in groups and the school bus group are very close and they chat all the time

cassidy like princess so much and miss chan also know that.. haha one day, she said miss chan hair is just like princess and miss chan said my hair is like princess but your face look like princess.. and now miss chan calls her princess nui nui .. haha

I think Ms. Chan should be very nice coz my son always mentions her at home.
The teacher on the school bus when Calix comes home is very nice too and always has a smiling face.  She's called Ms. Kung.

My son fell asleep twice when returning home last week.  I told Ms. Chan that I was a bit worried as there's no seat belt on the school bus. She asked me not to be worried as the teacher will check the status of the kids regularly.  Also, they'll assign K1 kids to sit beside elder brothers & sisters in K3 (or maybe K2 too).

Today, my daughter is overjoyed when she's back from school.  She said she went to feed fish and she looked at a concave mirror!  And she got a stick from school.

hey everyone,

today cassidy got seeweed from school.. and ms chan gave her a sticker of cinderella.. which my daughter's favourite character.. last time when ms chan phoned me.. i told her cassidy likes cinderella the most.. and today when cassidy back home.. she got a sticker (the one can only stick on glass) and she is so excited

BTW yanjoyce (joyce's mom), does your girl travel by schoolbus or not>? do you need to go to work? coz i have formed a dance group in babykingdom (most of us in ma on shan) just drop a note for you if you're interested.. and 2 of the mother also from ocean view

My son got a marshmallow and a buzzlighter sticker today.
My son said they'd fed the fish with the "balls" and Ms. Chan had told them a story about lion's birthday.  Yet, I remember that one of you said this story was told last week.  My son always has "時空交錯" problem.

I gave him a small raisin cake this morning and he finished most of it.  I asked him what the other kids have for snacks and he said "biscuits".  I asked if anyone eats bread.  He said a 姐姐 with glasses ate bread today and he said he likes that 姐姐.
Today the teacher/auntie had helped my son to change a pair of socks prepared in his schoolbag.  I asked him why and he said he'd made the socks wet when VV.  But it's strange that his pants did not get wet. 

The teacher on the school bus in the morning is called Ms. Lai.  She's nice too.

Is your son referring to my daughter as she wear glasses ?  And I prepare bread to her almost every day!

I am a full-time mom and my daughter Joyce takes the school bus to school everyday.  How about you?
Great to hear you've formed a dance group in BK coz my daughter loves to dance too and I am just considering the centre......Pls send me the details.  Thank you very much.

My son slept on the school bus again when coming home today.  He sat near the window and leaned against the boy sitting next to him.
When we had lunch today, my son looked very happy and sang "有隻雀仔跌落水" and "打開雪櫃" for many times.

He also mentioned a boy's name called "Alton Lee" (he spelt to me) and a girl with glasses called "Chong" (he spelt to me also).  He said he likes playing with them and Alton had given him a cake (I found he had a cake in his snack box on the 1st school day).

I also asked what they need to sleep on the table after finishing the snack but he replied "not table, it's school bag".

When he drank water at home today, he always moved and didn't sit properly, I asked does Ms. Chan tell them how to sit properly (I just tried to test him and saw if Ms. Chan had said anything about this).  He showed to me by saying "don't sit like that (lean forward); need to sit like this (lean against the back of the chair).  Seems that Ms. Chan had taught them some general manner.

Also, he still told me that it's Ms. Chan who played the piano.  So I asked what did Ms. Lam do when Ms. Chan playing the piano, he said "stand up" (in English).

My son can mention he's in K1H class now.  He also said he likes Ms. Chan and Ms. Kung (the teacher on the returning school bus).  

When we saw the KV school bus picking the p.m. kids to school, my son said he wanted to go to KV too.

Yet, one thing is my son still doesn't know how to take out their "small b" when going VV.  So he made his socks wet again today.  I tried to train him at home today and he still can't do it properly.  He made his pants wet when he's taking out his "small b".  Seems that many of your kids are daughters and really want to know the advice from other moms with sons that how they train their sons to go VV at school.

Dear Camon,

Yes, I agree......Yr son is really smart......can share so many things about school life w you......however my daughter could not remember any classmates' names......even the classmate sitting next to her.
