That's the point.
Being a cameraman in the Campus TV team, it can train up his patience, team work and team spirit, his mind on how to make good shots on the pupils in the singing competition, good record of the sound, and so on.
This is what an all-round education means.
I believe you will agree with me that an all-round education
DOES NOT necessarily mean 90% of its graduates going to secondary schools with EMI.
There are a lot more than that.
He said it was becos P5 and P6 went out on visits, so there were only P3 and P4 kids left to do the job in school.
Most of the P1 P2 kids sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and he knows the song by heart now.
Turned out there were 2 P4 kids and 3 P3, they had a walkie-talkie and were remote-controlled by a technician (?) in the control room to pan L, pan R, tilt up, tilt down, ....... woh !!!
Didn't even know whether the camera was on or off, just presumed it was recording cos both green and red lights were on / off (??)....
V good experience !
But the headphone volume was too loud and the kids didn't know how to turn it down.
They will learn from their experience and mistakes !!
Pre-team members need to pass an assessment before they become real team members.
The truth is 138 students, not 72, allocated to EMI and DSS schools. That means a large number of students had already secured a place in a DSS school before the disclosure of central allocation. The remaining 40 something students might end up in CMI schools or other schools. In this regard, I would say our students are highly competitive.
One thing I like about TSL is it is highly transparent. Rarely do we see EMI primary schools dare to make public their P6 allocation results.
I am actually very pleased with the results as it is not a surprise for me for some popular CMI schools to outperform TSL in the P6 allocation as afterall TSL students are learning not in their native tongue. It is unreasonable to expect our students to perform as well in Math and Chinese as in English.
It is English environment and the opportunities available that we treasure.
Very good experience for your piglet.
Remeber to ask your piglet submit the copy of report card to Campus TV teacher before holiday. My daughter already handed it yesterday.
Even if the kids are remote controlled by the technician, they still need to co-ordinate everything properly.
As the singing competition is live, there are no chances for "Take two".
Either they can take good shots or miss it.
They have to learn how to make it right under a certain time frame.
That's what education is for.
Kids try to do something new and make mistakes but then they can learn from mistakes and improve gradually over time.

In the last academic year, the S1 allocation results were announced on the school website a few days after EMB informed the results to the school.
In this academic year, such results were posted on school website the same day when EMB informed the results to the school (i.e. July 8th).
3 days later (i.e. July 11th), we can see another update on the results on the school website and I noticed that there were a few more graduates being admitted to Marymount and True Light + a lot more on various DSS.
Why the school posted the first results on July 8th and not wait for 3 more days to announce a more comprehensive results?
It is all to do with transparency.
Many TSL parents were so eager to know the results of this year and the school could make it very efficiently to let us know even a few days earlier.

They are mostly good schools''
DBS, DGS, GOOD HOPE,
ST PAUL CO EDU, ST PAUL COLLEGE, YWC
BAND ONE
1. 學生是BAND ONE 尾BAND TWO頭
BAND ONE

DSS=EMI schools.
they choose student by interview but not by centrol allocation. They are mostly good schools.
