Nevertheless I don't suggest you to teach your kid in advance. You will find that a child's ability can be much much better even if it is just a month or so older. Also, I think the teacher has some technique to guide the child to memorise. For example the chinese character like sea, my boy already knows there should be water at the side.

It is also a question I need to face very soon about whether to stay in the same school. But I would still think staying in STS is still a good choice because I believe the school is serious about giving the best to the child even it is closing down.

Hi Longman,

Your girl is very smart.

I do share your view and I'm also a working mother. Whenever I have time with my boy I would rather do other activities with him because I think his academic stuff is rather OK. Pushing may have the opposite effect. I do think encouraging him to have interest to learn and have self motivation is even more important.

Is your girl big girl or small girl in the class?
