我就不明為何住於好網如34,41就有機分到好小學但不好網如屯門就要讀次對學校這不是歧視是甚麼?

Seems both SIDE has their own points. The Educational
Department should be more responsible on this issue. This is a great burden to both parents and children every year. On the other hand, I think every parents should have their own right to choose their desired school. Since most of the famous school are located at rather high-class district, seems only rich people can study at Famous School. Afterall, all parents are just do their utmost for the child only, nothing wrong at all... !!! But the government should do
something la to make this fair to every one.

I am not living in Dist 41, but I got a seat in the first round. The fact is many students are from different areas not only Dist 41. Bus services will cover different areas and students will discuss where they live but never bother why you are not living in Dist 41 but still studying there. The wont bother you got a seat in round one or round 2...or knock door.....etc..etc..

If you are an outstanding student, everyone will praise on you, who cares where you live !

如果借地址d家長願意小朋友長途跋涉上學, 而又咁lucky抽中, 都無乎啦, 真係住41區又無luck, 1/2chance都未必中, 朋友住九龍塘3個女都抽唔中. 其實成個入學制度都有問題, 不過點都有不滿, 要考入學試要interview又話唔fair 操縱係學校.最好全部mix埋一齊大抽獎

點能夠不考慮子女的心理情緒問題呢? 究竟報名校為他們還是為己? 講真的, 無論讀哪裡都要顧及子女的心理, 適應與否等問題! 畢竟入校讀書是他們不是父母, 況且假如子女在校內因借地址而遭受評論, 對他們是何等不公? 如為他們設想, 便堂堂正正搬往該區!

因英中太少為了兒女著想不借地址才怪

都應有權選心儀學校

子女還小怎知那學校好
父母有責任幫他們選好學校

制度不公, 可以去信反映; 但作為市民應守法; 為子女作身教很重要的; 要尊守規則, 我都覺得怎樣說也有些不公平, 怎樣才是最公平?對41網居民又會話唔公平? 但不代表可以違規及欺騙嘛! 週六剛上完小一家教會及聽到小學校長講及現時就讀該校的學生情緒問題時, 你就不得不重視子女的學習情況, 假如將來小兒真的追唔想, 中途轉校也是一種較付責任的方法!父母的確可盡量替子女選好學校, 但更有責任替他們選擇"合適"的"好"學校.

Last year (2007-08), my friend got a seat in other district luckily. Then he moved to that district in the following summer. There is no any laws to restrict ppl to live "one" district foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. So why our kids cannot study or choose other district schools. We have right to choose suitable school to our kids. Pls don't forget, those primary schools which under the stupid allocation system are subsidized by our gov't............and WE ARE THE TAX PAYERS! WHY CAN'T WE CHOOSE AMONG THEM.....???!!!

最好能者居之, even住係名校區入到名校,大把人讀唔上,
對名校造成沉痛打擊, 又轉唔到直資,又唔可以將課程降低,
唯有加深課程令家長透不到氣而退學同不段游說成績低既學生轉校,讓番d位出黎比waitlist d學生, 因肯定wl班學生全係猛人....

其實家長最清楚小朋友既料子讀邊類型學校最適合，唔好盲目追求名校，唔好寄望學校會將小朋友改造成天才，　而係根本入去前已經要係天才，　一般料子既小朋友憂想可以出人頭地，　因你好努力拿到９０分不錯既成績，原本以經係排係２０人後，　如果因此影響到小朋友既自信心，　家長都要考慮係唔係留低ｏｒ再ｗｏｒｋ　ｈａｒｄ．

所以學校從來唔ｃｏｎｃｅｒｎ小朋友住邊區，而係ｗｏｒｒｙ小朋友有無能力應付學校要求，　當校長要求家長盡量比小朋友睇多ｄ書（好基本啫！），已經有家長係ｆｏｒｕｍ話無從入手，其實學校唔講家長都好應該為小朋友好好裝備去應付學校要求，　唔係又點做名校呢？

就係呢個制度，好多叻學生要較一般小朋友來得艱辛才入到名校，
插班生大多係別校名列前茅，或係某方面既天才，　相對一ｄ靠運氣而入既學生，有ｄ真係渾渾噩噩過日而家長又大安只意，　佢地更加珍惜而會加倍用功呢．

我見校長都好想轉直資, 不過辦學團體唔肯
學校面對其他直資競爭, 收生質素無保證,
佢哋都好驚成績不降, 保唔住名校既"名"

真係有D學生次次默書都係徘徊20-30分,
老師對某D成績差而操行又唔好既學生係要REPORT比校長.
而有D家長頂唔順都會轉去較輕鬆,類似IS既小學, 學校始終都會迫走學生, 不過免強讀落去而又上唔番其中學,到時仲煩.

There are a lot of misunderstanding on LS. Their "vision" is to take in kids from different levels particularly those cannot afford to go to school. They don't care whether it is label as "famous school" or not. you can check the web, not all LS brothers school are famous. It is very impressive that the school can spend extra effort to bring up kids with different levels such as 默書都係徘徊20-30分 up to the level to complete with elite DSS school such as DBS. (For elite DSS, they can take in very high quality kids).

This is the reasons why ST Joseph College and La Salle Colllege are not considered to change to DSS.
