Anyone know when CKY will release final result ar ?

咁講,其實CKY教出黎嘅學生, 學識比起傳統名校更為廣博, 因無課程及課本嘅限制. 不過唯一問題係未必涵接到本地課程.

唉...兩間各有所長, 我地兩間都好鍾意.  無論如何, 我地都會make decision....

你仔仔都好enjoy cky 嘅學習生活同有好主動嘅學習態度.  其實呢兩樣都係為人父母最希望子女所擁有嘅.

你好,我囝囝雖最後沒有被dbs簡選,但yw早前已收了,也是心儀學校之一,當然,我們也在等待cky result,我們跟你有點相似,而且囝囝已在跟cky一樣學習模式的kinder讀,我是深感囝囝當中得益,真的沒有壓力,但語文能力很好,我們做父母的,更是輕鬆的,因此,很多囝囝的學長也考進cky,他們的父母跟我分享時,也是十分讃賞的.相反,我的同事(囝囝在yw讀P.5)今天跟我說,他的孩子近來因為要應付排山倒海的默書,測驗等,竟緊張得叫他早上5時起床溫習,...哈哈!好像是誇張了一點,但也感受到殊不簡單的學習生活.我的同事忠告,要有心理準備,跟孩子一起學習...,因出名的學校對家長也有期望的. 這點,我是明白的.所以如要在兩所不同風格的學校選其一,是要有很大的決心的,當然,還要看孩子的意願!

Just share..

For me, since I didn't know you and your kids, it will be very hard for me to comment which one is better....

My believe is, no matter how the school are, it will be a match (similar to a marriage), what school lift, what you want your kids to be and how your family want and could be provide to work together with the school the train your kid.  Not only evaluate what the school can be provided, bu also check how your family can fit for the school, how you can partnered well (and in a synchronize way) that build up the kids to what you expected.

No definate answer, some of my friend want their kids grow up under pressure (because they think that is the reality and it reflect the future work) so that they won't have problem in the future.  While some like their kids to learns without so much pressure and so does the parents...

I really like CKY and the other schools that I registered for my kids are also in the same type HKBUP, Creative, Logos..

Just share my thought jar..

Any news re the result?  Are we going to receive it tomorrow?:

I don't think we will go to receive it within this week, cause the school are pretty busy. (Fun fair, Christmas party, 5th Anniversary ceramony).

If both cky and yw accept your son, then what will you choose??

Would you mind to tell me which kinder your son is studying now?  My son is studying in CCKG which trained him in more self-discipline way and with good Eng. foundation.

To be honest, my son showed rather happy after the 2nd in of cky but behaved rather silence after 2nd in of dbs.  We, actually, didn't know what's happen during the 2nd in conducted by the 2 schools but we haven't asked him coz we didn't want to put too much pressure on him.  

These days, we asked him if both cky and dbs accept hime, which school he like most, he just replied :" both is ok la~"

So, I can't find any "hints" from my son....

Anyway, thanks so much for your sharing.

I just called CKY and the lady replied that the result will be received before Christmas (no matter accept / reject).. but she cannot confirm whether the result have been mailed..

Hi there,

I called CKY just now re the result release date.  The lady advised that the soonest for parents to receive notification by post is end of 2007/early 2008.  Let's keep waiting then.

我剛打了電話去學校, 並表示希望能在宣道註冊前收到結果(即1月2日), 因宣道註冊費為HK$1000, 那個小姐說會爭取在今年內出結果, 因她們亦只是放紅色假期.

Even if the School can manage to mail out the letters on 27/12, the soonest for parents to receive will be 28 or 29/12 = end of 2007.

剛剛收到CKY的信。囝囝有幸被取錄了  ，註冊日期是14 Jan to 18 Jan,留位費是HK$490。信中提及08-09年度將不設由廣利道至天后廟道臨時校舍的穿梭巴士服務 。

Yes, 不過上次簡介會好似係話因多了學生, 下年可有校巴直接由屋企去天后, 所以咪唔會再有廣利道去天后o既 shuttle bus la.
(我o既理解係咁, 唔知o岩唔o岩?)

你這麼一說，我又有番少少記憶了。如你所說一樣，他們好像曾提及下年度會有校巴直接從屋企到學校。不過我也有另一難題，就是要從已註冊了的直資小學跟CKY二擇其一 。今晚要好好和外子商量一下。
