when you are selecting the music instrument, please also consider the availability of private tutor and the fee.   It is difficult to find cello tutor and the fee is expensive when compare with piano and violin.

請問1/8或1/16的小提琴中的數字是什麼意思? 同時學鋼琴與小提琴對小朋友來說困難嗎?因為要同時練習兩種樂器.

1/8, 1/16 - these are the size for violin.

from smaller to bigger size:

1/32, 1/16, 1/10, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 4/4 ( full size).

Also , 7/8 is the size between 3/4 and 4/4.

我說的是長笛。鍍銀合金的入門版長笛應該要約三千多元。小朋友很的手很可能不夠長，要找有bent head的。

不錯，1/8和1/16是小提琴的尺碼，分數愈小尺碼就愈短，最大的4/4。

學習一種樂器已不容易，即是有能力和耐性，同時學兩種樂器，時間分配是另一個問題，都是要視乎小朋友是否適應和願意。

Dear bbqueen,

My neighbour told me the charge of cello per lesson is at least $300 for 30mins and the price of cello is at least few thousand (you can check it with TOM LEE).  

It is suggested to attend half hour for beginner class.

Dear bbpoon,

most of the boys learn violin cause it is the king of music.  You can let him/her try either one instrument and monitor the progress.  If it goes on well, you can ask his/her opinion for learning an extra instrument.

You'll receive a music instrument programme notice, with details of tuition fees and prices of music instruments,  from school this or next week.  See whether it fits your budget and schedule.

Btw, I don't think you should buy an expensive string instrument for your kid.  After all, she has to replace it with a full size one some day.

我囝囝先學鋼琴, 後學小提琴, 學了小提琴約一年, 佢唔鐘意小提琴, 佢話夾住個琴好辛苦, 已經講過唔想學, 我暫時"tum"住佢, 希望佢遲d鐘意. 第二, 就係沒時間練, 因為讀緊小學, 唔係好多時間, 要每日都練鋼琴同小提琴, 要用一個小時, 所以以上二個問題都要想清楚才好. 如果manage到, 我覺得同時學是可以的, 若不, 要揀其一時, 我覺得學鋼琴較好, 因可以打好音樂底. 大d時才想吧.

If you want to have a look for 1/32 violin, I can tell you the shop location.

1/32 violin is really a very cute violin but the shop owner tell me that most of the people buy it only for display at home.

係啊, 一支銅管樂真係要2,3千蚊呢! "入場費"貴呀 小提琴最cheap4,5百都有, 當然唔可以expect好靚聲, 不過小朋友頭1,2年, 就算想換靚d小提琴, under2千已經好夠!
(fatty, 我真係未見過1/32小提琴呀, 咪好細個? 一 ...
