RC : Is it too late to apply Year 1 (07-08) ?

RC Admin is surely not ideal. Yet it is not too bad either. My girl got admitted in Year 1 in the coming academic year.

The whole process was satisfactory although not good. I submitted the application form in person on the first day of application then I received an invitation letter for interview. After attending the interview and submitted the relevant information required we waited for the result.

When we got the offer letter we sent in the confirmation of place before deadline together with a cheque. After a while (don't remember how long but longer than expected) we received the receipt of our payment and was informed of the first school day.

Then nothing happened until an email last week telling us to attend an information night at APA. Before that I had sent in an email asking them on the date for the induction but no reply. I finally rang up the school and learned that the schedule for induction had yet to be finalised.

I know nobody in RC except I had attended several information day/night and realized that its admin has to be upgraded.

Nevertheless, the admission process should be ranked as a pass in my case.

My case is similar to Wingba.  I know nobody in RC.  I got several emails from Mr. Max Muller.  I can't remember when we applied, probably last Nov.  My daughter had an interview on Dec 2nd.  I just know the name "Susie Lau" from a letter of RC.  I never contact her directly though I might talk to her before because the telephone was connected to a lady while I had some enquiries.   

I guess maybe there have been too many applications recently. The response is not as good and quick as before.

I don't think RC treat KaKaYa  and the other people like you.  Am I right??     Do you find that the lady (Susie Lau) is good? Please tell???  Ms. Tsang,  before she is not the person to take care of the admissions.   But now, maybe too many cases to take care and Susie cannot take good care of.  That's why the school needs to appoint 2 persons to take care of the admissions.

後來有信話 11 月去做 written test (year 7)，我地就去，聽 reception 話我地係第二定第三批做 test，咁我估好多人比我地早入 form。後來 written test 成功，又有信叫我地去 interview，interview 成功，就有信叫交留位費，再下來，係有信叫我地去 year 7 的 induction day，跟住最近係 email 話有 information evening。
全部清清楚楚，我覺得好好喎。
你話佢地唔好，係唔係因為你冇得 interview，或者 interview 唔成功？
其實，interview process 係 "排隊" 形式，我算係早入 form，當然有著數，但係唔代表我有乜野特權。
重有，我個人唔識 suzie lau，不過如果你話 ms tsang 係後來先請的，真係唔奇，可能好多人好似我，三日唔埋就 call 佢地，唔請多個人，我估真係做唔晒。學校話晒新，要收學生數目，比已 run 了多年的舊學校唔同，多野做請多個人唔得？
如果因為你唔成功，就遷怒於我，我覺得好離普，亦顯得你好小家。

我好明白你的心情。
我比你好采，係因為我唔係考 year 1，而且我早 apply (我係 9 月就 apply )，因此一早就做了 written test 和 interview，亦過年前已經 confirm 有 offer。我聽朋友話， year 1 比我地考 year 7 的 interview 更早開始。
你可以話 suzie lau 或 ms tsang 比你 disappointment，不過你又要客觀諗下，如果真係冇位，佢地都好難做，佢都唔可以 creat d 位比你，如果佢地亂應承你，但係到時做唔到，就重敝。
我覺得又唔駛 give up，因為，間間學校都係咁，有好多人係 hold 住 d 位，到差唔多開學，甚至開了學先話唔黎讀，你可以話 d 家長衰，d 家長自私，但係人地真係真金白銀交了留位費，係有權 hold 住 d 位，我地國際學校算好 d ，本地直資學校，一人霸幾個位的情形重嚴重。
我自己就好鍾意 RC，不過講真，話晒係新校，我覺得好多人都會係有少少觀望態度，雖然話交了留位費，到時可能都會有人決定去另一間學校，唔黎讀都唔奇。
不過你亦要有後路，點都要有一間後備學校在手。

我好同情你, 無情情比人話. 不過, 你回應得好好.
My daughter applied Grade 1. 其實 12月頭是 first round interview, 接著好似 3月頭是second round interview. 如果現在才apply Grade 1, 似乎太遲. 我唔敢話RC好唔好, 我個囡都未正式上課.  不過, so far I feel everything satisfactory, that is all my conclusion.

Every school has its rules and regulations.  As long as the administrator acknowledged receipt of the application letter, we should keep our patience for further process.  In case you think Susie Lau who cannot answer your question, you may ask for her upper management.  

For those teachers, assistants, cashiers in cafeteria, security guards I met there, I found that they were very helpful, kind and polite indeed.  That is why I am eager to send my daughter to there.  Certainly I will continue to observe its performance because we are the consumers.

可唔可以有school tour arrangement 俾我地,
尋日就收到email, 安排左6月13日.
咁你話RC行政有幾差?

誠然,每間學校都不足之處,
睇下人地將個問題放大幾多倍啫!!

由佢第一個 post 就知係沖著 RC 而來，應該係因為佢孩子考唔到，就黎發難。
其實這類 post，<小學雜談> 個邊好多，這種人好麻煩，可以同你磨好耐。
先係話學校的收生程序唔好，唔公平，學校的 staff 點差，等，再下來，就係話間學校其實都唔係咁好嗟，重有好多好 d 的學校，等等。
< 小學雜談 > 個邊的經驗係，這種 post 同流感一樣，揮之不去，亦會間唔中就 "復發"。

真係好難明.  如果此人真係一名家長, 用咁多時間嚟搞風搞雨，不如多花時間幫吓自己個小朋友去準備一下考學校啲嘢仲好．　

有時，小朋友考學校都要講際遇與及同間學校有冇緣．考唔到亦可能是福氣呢!

不過以我嚟講，RC冇收到呢個學生（家長），可能會是RC & RC所有家長嘅福氣．
