My son is a P.4 student of St. Stephen's and as far as I know, most of his classmates (including my son) love the school so much that they promise each other that they would like to go to St. Stephen's secondary school altogether in the future.

St. Joseph?! No way!!!

Raimondi college primary section will be moved to Wan Chai next year. The location is exactly behind Wah Yan College Hong kong. You can take advantage of the School net in applying QC. This year QC offers 75 places for central allocation.

Besides, RCPS is one of the school in town that offers 'Gifted Education Pull-out Programme'.

但係你如果想入呢幾間學校, 姐係你想你個仔可以入1間好o既學校讀書, 冇理由因為咁而有得揀都唔揀St Joseph

Hi, Leechi,

Of course St Paul Boy and 高主教 are good schools. That is why I also applied them for my son. However, St. Stephen has NETs to teach English and it uses PTH to teach Chinese. This spares me the money and time to let my son study spoken English and PTH as ECA. I think language proficiency is an important competitive weapon for further study and career development.

Besides, I like their official website. As a working mother, I feel comfortable to learn more about my son's school life via its on-line platform. And, SSCPS's management is also efficient and systematic. This gives me a sense of security. In some (not all) newly established schools, the management system are not so well-developed. Sometimes, you would be quite frustrated in finding out 'what has happened, what is happening and what will happen'! On the other hand, some (not all) traditional renowned schools are very bureaucratic. I found SSCPS’s staff in general is very nice. Maybe, it is because of the spacious and leisure environment in the campus.

For other aspects, I think all the three schools mentioned are equally well. In fact, different schools have different kinds of strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, just think about what features/qualities you think are more important and choose one suitable for your child.

我嘅小朋友都被St.Paul同St.Stephen取錄，所以放棄大抽獎，St .Jo唔揀是因為怕將來直升唔到中學，會被標纖左又唔知派去边間中學(band3)，到時想再從新唂嗰小朋友都難，如果小朋友讀其他有直屬中學的小學，壓力小好多，最重要是小朋讀書開心，喜歡上學主動去學習，其實學習氣氛都很重要，如果小朋友真的名列前茅，到時間間都爭住收！
我們會選擇St.stephen，因為用普通話教中文和其他科目都用英語，校社設備完善，新建設大樓又快完成，在簡報會上老師態度好友善和熱誠，若不是地点偏遠(尤其是住九龍區)應該有更多人報考。

聖士提反書院將轉直資校

【大公報訊】記者陳秋霞報道：英中名校聖士提反書院為與私立英文小學結龍，決定在零八學年由津貼轉為直資學校，預計每年學費不超過五萬二千元。學校規定學生入宿，體驗宿舍生活。

聖士提反書院校長羅懿舒說，計劃與附屬小學結龍，礙於結龍學校資助形式必須一致，私校又不可轉為資助；加上政府現正積極鼓勵津貼學校轉為直資學校，給予參與學校額外學費保險，保證他們首五年的經營收益，所以校方決定由津貼轉為直資學校。

羅懿舒表示，轉直資的條件很吸引，直資的自由度又較津貼大得多，學校可按自己特性發展。聖士提反書院校園較大，學校將增建宿舍，擴大現有寄宿計劃，在學生中一、中三及中五階段的數個星期給予學生體驗宿舍生活，提供全人發育。

她說，學校將在轉制後以普通話教授中文課程，以英文教育英語課程，並會增聘十名老師及十個教學助理，本土英語老師將慢慢被外籍英國老師取代。她表示，學生有機會往海外或內地作學期交流，「『北京市第九中學』已落實與本校交流。」

你決定左選擇st.stephen呀? 我囡囡都係呀, 我地係st.paul convent同st.stephen取一, 我囡囡揀左st.stephen, 好多人都叫我揀st.paul, 但係我覺得st.stephen岩囡囡讀d, 程度我相信st.stephen絕不差過st.paul con.但係論開心度, st.stephen一定會開心過paul con. 所以我地咁樣選擇, 星期六要去註冊, 希望到時會見到你啦.[quote]

Yes, it is exactly the concept of "value-adding". In SSCPS, I think the learning process is so efficient that the value-added is much higher than many schools (with the same amount of students' inputs, in terms of abilities, time and efforts).

In some schools, they still adopt the concept of 'Quality Check'. It means that they will use examination to screen out 'less' able ones (in sense of examination performance). I would prefer a school which will adopt 'Total Quality Management' and have a mission to cultivate  students into 'whole persons'.

By the way, I know there are some SSCPS students lived in Kowloon. Their family drives them to school.
