據我所知，就算您去叩門也必須到所派的學校註冊，如果唔係就當您放棄津校學位架啦! 所以一定要註冊左先！除非您叩門的是私校吧!

May I ask you and seek your advice further?
How did you fill in the lucky draw form? Did you put LS as first priority in both section A and B? Then how did you fill the rest? Or only picked LS?
I don't think I have the guts to only put LS in the form...

Is your child in K2 now? my advice is that you should apply some private schools or DSS. If you have some back-ups on hand,  you can have more "guts"!

已致電教統局確認如有私校打底，不需註冊，但仍可去叩津校門。

You and your son are quite lucky. Congrats.
My younger son will only have 15 pts as he is not the first child in the family. I don't know if I should try the 1st round lucky draw with just 15 pts.
As Mrs Fong suggested, I should try to have private and DSS schools in hand for my son.

Dear Waiwing, CI & Felicia,

I live in Hung Hom. First round around 400 peoples have 20 points (total 800-900) in this year. I think if only 15 points the chance is 0. I suggest try to have private & DSS in hand for your son.

Sorry, I don't understand...does it mean 800-900 people with 20 points to join the lucky draw in 1st round?  But only 400 places could be offered for this group of people? So the chance for 20 point is around 45-50%...

only half will be allocated to this group. You should baisically say it is 100%, but this group also include those has 25 points. The chance in percentage should based on the total number of people in this group and in diff. cat., such as 30, 25, 20, 15 points.

The more people with higher points, the least chance to get a seat with lower points.

I think what NamNamko means is there are 800-900 people apply the seats in the 1st round, among them there are around 400 people with 20marks! So the chance to get a seat with 20marks is less than 50%, as there are also some people with 25marks!!!
