Welcome back! Glad to hear things went smooth. Feeling challenging but not horrible is a good sign. Tutors tend to push further and further until the candidates cannot answer any more. Looking forward to hearing your good news!
Any idea why the girl prefers IC to Cambridge? The typical offer of Cambridge is higher than IC and putting the latter as first choice while keeping the former as insurance means forfeiting the backup choice.
She likes the course better. Honestly I wonder if the mum/ dad will agree as most HK parents simply choose what they like, but not what their children like.
Instead of confrontation when there is difference in preferences between parents and children, the family members should strive to understand one another's rationale behind their choices and arrive at mutual consensus.
Is he able to get in "winter pool"? But anyway, he has other good uni's offer already, right? Don't worry then, did he confirm which 2 to choose by now?
Sorry to hear! But bright mind is still bright mind. Oxbridge turn down so many brilliant students every year due to lack of places. We should be very proud of them getting this far. You son still has a high chance for the top-notch HK uni, in the subject he really likes. Besides, he has Imperial in hand!
It depends on your interest. With 4A you can apply to pretty much any top universities. Imperial normally looks for AAA, UCL sometimes A*AAe. With AAA subjects like law and economics are no problem at all.
