Re: ST.CAT 2005 K1 家長入黎傾/分享下
| Hi there, we've been relieved that our son was successfully admitted to the K1 class at St Cath this coming Sept 2005. But recently, we've heard of more about this school which led us to some serious re-consideration. Apparently, there were some changes at the K2 cirriculum where English lesson times were significantly reduced. Besides, we just have the school/campus visit a week ago and indeed, slightly disappointed with the how old/dated the campus facilities esp. the toilet areas and the so-called music rooms. The teachers there are not found as friendly or impressive as we've thought. Overall, this is found being a "factory" and thus, we are doubtful if most of the kids could be attributed adequate attention.
At the moment, our son studies at the HK Pre-School where he truly very much enjoys his school life and we have found the teachers there pleasant and very attentive to the kids. Given that this Kowloon Tong campus was established only during recent years, it has no same scale of classes but so far, have some impressive accomplishments where quite a good % of K3 students could be successfully admited by the mainstream local schools and a few into ESF stream of schools.

Considering the fairly different culture and background between these 2 schools, our proven experience dealing with the teachers/quality of education at the HK Pre-school and the perception we have so far from others' comments on St Cath and the school visit experience, we somehow are getting increasingly uncomfortable to send our son to St Cath.

Comments would be most appreciated for our further consideration. Thanks.
