2006 入讀St.Cat K1 家長交流區(Part 2)

真係有人安排讀兩間架,不過有家長認為值得.我覺得咁細個要谷到咁真係好可憐,可能有一半時間都係到訓覺,上堂唔知講咩.家長辛苦,小朋友又辛苦.

之前我都好似聽過mmak上年都有interview 10間幼稚園,我個時只有去4間,我覺得好多野搞(可能我成日都好鬼緊張,又驚搞錯,成日check下份form,check完又check),而且心水都係st. cat.

小拔interview係英文架??我以為係中文tim.仲有那些小學(除IS外)係以英文interview,好似CCKG咁?

Keith told me that he was asked to bring anything related to fire eg. fire, fire engine, firefighters etc.  But it must be pictures and not toys.  He has a toy fire engine at home and wanted to bring it to school, but he said that Miss Cheung specifically asked for pictures and not toys wor.  Don't blame me if his info is wrong wor.

Wow, you took Charlotte to sooo many interviews last year??? ... Charlotte must have been really co-operative.     Good girl!!!  I only took Keith to 2 interviews last year, cos' I was determined to let Keith stay with Keen Mind if he could not get into St. Catherine's.  Afterall, Keith quite enjoyed his time there at Keen Mind.

我都攞了CCKG application form,仲未填.不過late些才填. 有些矛盾,想試下,但這亦是一場無把握的仗.今次陪跑多.

我hubby一早便說唔會有機會,因人地要的唔係我這些background.直到我同一位朋友食飯才知若真的入CCKG真係要付出好多.  她有位親戚half技術人員,有兩子,一到summer or holiday便到外國與一些親戚的小朋友玩,真係操得一口流利英文,另外所花費在佢地身上亦真係唔少,我相信佢講那隻唔係上下 English playground咁簡單.他們己在DBS讀了.  

另外一種當然係同CCKG有relationship or background的人啦e.g. old boy, old girl,二十years前讀到CCKG係估少野亞, 一定大有來頭la.你地睇番SC那本校刊70’s讀的學生係點呀拿.

當然流利英文亦唔可guarantee一定入到,始終英文好的小朋友真係大有人在.

Charlotte asked for toys + pictures.  Therefore, she will bring a toy fire engine, some pictures of fire engines and fireman.

我知道入男拔要interview幾次.好似係英文interview,meowross身邊有同事架小朋友入左,佢知架料比較多.

I am not sure if any mums or dads have heard from their kids about the school bus.  Keith told me last week that the school bus has been playing some Mandarin songs.  Last week, it was something like "What is a father's father called, a father's father is called grandad" (my translation from Mandarin).  This week, it has been changed to the Congratulations song (in Mandarin).  I reckon it is actually quite a good way to expose our kids to a second language, be it English or Mandarin.  The kids have nothing much to do on the school bus anyway, it is not a bad idea to play them some interesting songs in other languages.  BTW, my son is on School Bus No. 13.

朋友個仔上星期interview小拔和蔡繼有, 係英文. 培僑, 普通話. 我問佢如果3間都收, 佢揀邊間. 佢竟然話培僑.
佢個仔有劍撃冠軍, 所以我估佢係有希望的.
我的心水係蔡繼有, 大家有d咩料可否話我知........

其實都係睇番之前係其他講 cckg 既 topic度一d家長
覺得佢地同九龍塘區其他kinder既中文程度比較起黎
係較弱(唔知係咪 compare with KV)，擔心第時上
小學時追得辛苦姐。

我都聽過唔係間間直資/私小都 like收CCKG既畢業生，
so 冇十足把握入到dgs/dbs就無謂博，唔想為左一棵
樹無左成個森林 ....雖然唔知傳聞真定假，但既然我唔
打算報(事實亦報唔到，因我個女係超齡)，所以聽左就
算囉！

Your daughter is so cute .  She will probably think that daddy will change from a fireman to a policeman when the school teaches police next week.  Afterall, I guess she is just thinking that daddy is a hero, that's why she is telling everyone that daddy is a fireman.

有朋友個女k2開始讀2間學校,1間st.cat另一間好似在九龍城亦上好多課外活動最終有成十間直資/私校收佢(蔡繼有,德望,宣小,陳守仁,女拔,九龍塘小學....等)佢話好值得喎,但我地就覺得個細路好辛苦.冇左童真.

我有朋友個仔係派晒位之後叩門入九龍塘小學, 也有朋友個仔係叩門入小拔萃, 所以我覺得如果開始好多人, 唔洗太擔心, 最緊要係準備好個小朋友. 通常收個d學生都有幾間offer, 實要放棄某些offer的.

有個同事我女之前都讀兩間幼稚園, 不過兩間都唔係"谷"的, 所以佢讀得好開心.
